  • This is the bike everyone else is trying to catch up to!
By  (I am an Owner) on Mar 24, 2009

While everyone else is sinking serious amounts of money into their bikes just to try and catch up, all you need to do is add a Power Commander and swap your pipes (if you choose) and your still miles ahead of EVERY OTHER BIKE out there, PERIOD! I am still running the stock pipes with the CAT though ...

    Goodluck and good riding

  • More Than I need
By  (I am an Owner) on Feb 03, 2009

The bikes I have had since the early 1990's have been liter bikes. I have gone this way because I have had a need for speed. I read a few reviews of the liter bikes before I purchased this one. I have alway been a kawasaki guy, but this bike has changed my way of thinking. The performance you ...

  • Deadly good bike
By  (I am an Owner) on Dec 14, 2008

...for a proddy bike this thing is fabulous. Very user friendly as well. You can putt around on it as easily as a scooter, as long as you display some throttle control. It is by far the easiest superbike to ride to and fro. When you get into it though, it still requires expert handling and is as ...

By  (I am an Owner) on Oct 25, 2008

I have onwed six liter bikes so far and the K7 gixxer is a polished machine a bit heavy in stock form. The bike is well balanced and it hides the weight well not a novice ride at all! I have done basic mods Full yoshi system with twin carbon cans took lots of the extra weight off. power commander, ...

By  (I am an Owner) on Sep 17, 2008

Great all around bike when it comes to performance and looks. I had a few GSXR and this is the one i have loved the most it has such a great response from going into corners or just having to get out of harms way.

  • What a bike!
By  (I am an Owner) on Sep 16, 2008

This is my 2nd gsxr1000. Compared to the 2001 model, this one seems a little soft in the lower half of the tach. With nothing more than soft luggage, this becomes a long-distance ride. With more than a few 600+ mile days under my butt, the stock seat feels OK. A few clicks softer on the shock ...

Be sure to tighten the settings up for the next track day to prevent wallowing in the sharper turns. After 2 of such days this year, I can tell you that the missing ponies on the lower part of the tach are to be found up high. I found it noteworthy that the trackday organizers specifically warned us with this gsxr to exercise more caution than normal so we don't overshoot turn one and go playing in the sand instead.

Overall, I'm pleased with the bike and expect a few more road & track days next year.

  • Greatest Bike EVER!
By  (I am an Owner) on Sep 16, 2008

The '07 GSX-R 1K is a beast! Great style, great performance, excellent reliability, you just can't go wrong. Definitely not a bike for the novice rider but if you know how to ride, this bike will scream. The stock dual exhausts are just OK at best. You'd definitely want to get an aftermarket ...

A great bike for both expert and novice riders. The bike seems setup for small to average size riders. Although slightly heavy as stock after replacing the OEM dual exhaust with a single sided setup, the bike ran and sounded better.

    It rips.
