  • Starter Bike for the right $$
By  (I am an Owner) on Apr 15, 2010

I Purchased this bike from an Auction with 190 miles this past month for $2800. Does this bike have balls? Not exactly. But being in college and not having the best income I wanted a cheap starter bike that was still going to be able to push that 100mph mark for those times when you just feel like ...

  • Great Bike for the price
By  (I am an Owner) on Sep 02, 2009

I have owned my GS500F since Fall of '07. I got it at a end of the year price - out the door for under $3700.00. I really like this bike. Is it the fastest, baddest thing out there? No. But take it for what it is...a V-Twin 500 that is a great intro bike at a good price. I think it has a well ...

  • 1st Bike
By  (I am an Owner) on Jul 12, 2009

I got my GS500F in February 2009 as a weekend bike (I needed a hobby). As a first time bike rider I am very happy with my purchase. Bike is easy to handle and gets me up to speed fast when I get on the I-10 but it's not too powerful that it gets me into trouble. I have 500 miles on it so far and ...

Another reason for getting the Suzuki was that I have a 30inch inseam and I sat on every bike possible for 5 months after getting my license and this was the best one for bottom comfort and having my two feet flat on the ground.

  • More than a starter bike - GS500F
By  (I am an Owner) on Feb 11, 2009

I've had a GS500F going on two years now and it is certainly much more than just a starter bike. I've done some serious miles on my GS and have yet to have a sore "seating area". I regularly average 55 to 60mpg, the handlebars are more upright than "sport bikes", making it more comfortable and ...

  • GS500F Great Starter
By  (I am an Owner) on Oct 10, 2008

I believe the best starter bike you can buy. The bike is light and easy to handle. The gas savings was a major bonus.
