Love It!
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 05, 2011I am a new rider, took the MSF course and started riding the next week when I bought this bike. I was nervous, because this bike is bigger than the little 250 I trained on. Man, I am so pleased with this bike. Great power, great feel, shifts good, love the friction zone sensitivity, the balance, ... the price and of course the miles per gallon (my ultimate motivation). I would highly recommend this as a first bike for the new riders. However, I believe this would be a good ride for anyone.

Wonderful bike
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 08, 2010Just bought a 2009 with 500 Km's on it. Have put 300 Km's on it over the past 2 weekends. Very happy with the overall performance and comfort. While accelerating to over 80 kms per hour I noticed a roughness/vibration in the engine that settled down once i arrived at cruising speed and kept it ... there. I assume that this will diminish as the bike breaks in. Could use a bit more top end at 110 km and over. Otherwise, this is a solid bike that fits my needs perfectly at a great price.

RIDE OF A LIFETIME
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 27, 2010SEVERAL YEARS AGO I RODE A FRIEND'S VOLUSIA. I DECIDED THAT WAS THE MODEL FOR ME, SHOULD I EVER GET A BIKE. THIS SUMMER I RECEIVED ONE ASA A GIFT, AND I WOULDN'T TRADE IT FOR ANY OTHER. FLOORBOARDS, HEEL-TOE SHIFTER, FUEL INJECTION, BIG ENOUGH TO TACKLE THE HIGHWAY. WHAT MORE COULD I ASK?

First bike purchased
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 01, 2010Nearing my 600 mile service, and don't have much to compare it to, but love riding it. Love hitting some long and winding roads...handles very well. A new rider, but I haven't found anything that I like about this bike.

No test ride needed
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 12, 2010I have owned a 1997 Yamaha 750 Virago and a 2003 HD 883 Sportster - both pre-owned. Prior to purchasing my first new motorcycle I researched various models and types over a period of several months - while deployed to Iraq. I was shopping for a new V-Star 650, when I was introduced to the Boulevard ... C50 Special Edition. The salesman did a great job of explaining the pros and cons of the cruisers and traditional bikes I was interesting in purschasing. The C50 with its 805cc and "special edition" extras was enhanced by the awesome sale price ($2500 off the list price!). I spent an afternoon in the showroom finalizing paperwork and rode home 77 miles that same evening without even having taking it for a spin around the block - I am very pleased with my purchase.
