Great bike

Love this big thumper, scares the bejeezus out of me everytime I ride it! Gas mileage is a big high and the peanut sized tank won't get you further than 130 miles but apart from that I love it. Clutch does take some getting used to but I am now comfortable with it, bike does not like roundabouts or ...slow corners but eats up long straights. I have heard horror stories of the seat being uncomfortable but again I am uesd to it now and even my pillion has stopped moaning, did 140 klm ride with her on the back last week and she never had any problems. Lots of chrome to polish but stays amazingly clean even on dirty roads. I paid 9k Dec 2011 for my 2006 with 2000 klm on the clock, so someone didn't ride it much from new. LOVE IT, JUST LOVE IT

I have only owned my 2006 S83 for a few months now but it still sends a chill up my spine when I wheel it out of the garage and press that button.

Not the tamest bike and not for the faint hearted either, quite a handful at slow speed and on tight roundabouts with the driveshaft trying to get you r...ound faster than you might like but isn't the thrill of life what we are all after? Mine needs panniers so I can tour on it and am looking at replacing seat even though it suits me, the rear area for the passenger does not meet my partner's expectations. Thirsty engine, I only got 170 klm out of a full tank but as it is advertised to do 150 miles I may need to ignore the handbook advice to only fill to the bottom of the filler collar.
