begginer bike with something extra

After training on my cousins 80's cb650 I decided I wanted something new with less maintenance concerns so I went with the 2005 s50. its liquid cooled, shaft drive 805cc v-twin with sport bike technology was just perfect for me. this bikes got some pep but not so much a level headed begginer cant ri...de it. it's one of the lightest 800cc cruisers you can get nowdays. and with a 28" seat height and low center of gravity this bike will not intimidate the smaller riders. i'm 5'11" 250# and I feel quite comfortable on it. I get a lot of compliments for it's looks. suzuki put a lot of chrome on this bike so if polishing chrome isnt your idea of a good time then buy a sport bike or a moped. but a cruiser enthusiast will like the slender chopper stylings and the low end torque. ive put about 7000 miles on mine and ive never had any problems. I met the guy who bought the sportster I was eyeing before I got the suzuki and a week after I met him I saw him again only he was driving his car because his bike broke down I didnt ask specifics but I asked if it was going to be expensive. I shouldnt of asked. Needless to say I think I made the right choice but its never all roses. if you buy this bike I would suggest rejetting the carbs. suzuki tuned these things too lean, everyone who owns one would agree. I also get a squeak from the front brake at low speeds.Not all that alarming but it can be annoying.other than that ive been very happy with my s50 and i'm not alone if you want to see some triked out s50's check out intruderalert.com and look at the member pics. ground clearence

my wife and i both weigh 230 and if she gets on with me the foot pegs drag the ground resulting in a accident(i have been driving a cycle for 43 year and have never encounted this problem before)we were within 30lbs of gvwr 950 lbs Read Full Review
