Legend 250 by Qlink
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 17, 2009I have a bit over 14,000 KM on my Legend. So far it has been a very reliable bike. I use it to commute 18 miles to and from work. I have had it serviced according to the manual. I can cruise at 55 mph and feel that the bike accelerates fine for normal traffic. I have been getting 60 to 80 MPG. ...
So far I have replaced the chain, speedo cable and rear tire. I am currently waiting for a new fuel guage sender unit because it has started leaking fuel because the plastic is cracking. To be fair this probably is the result of the freeze thaw cycle we get during the winter here in Iowa. I have has similar issues with lawnmowers and snow blowers that are stored for months. Qlink replaced one muffler and the engine guard under warranty with no hassels.
The Legend seems solidly built and the engine starts and runs smoothly. Mine came with a Yusa battery.
It is a cruiser, but it does handle quite well in the curves. It is predictable in cornering. Brakes are adequate. Ride is comfortable for commuting, but since this is a smaller bike long rides on the highway are not the most comfortable when compared to a larger bike. The seat is not that uncomfortable, but I don't think this bike is intended for long distance touring.
The headlight is bright and has a good spread of illumination for riding at night.
The OEM tires on mine were Duro. I replaced the rear tire at about 10,000 KM and will be replacing the front when I take the bike in this spring. The Duros did not seem to want to stay in balance.
For $2500 it has proved to be a good bike.
