Its my go-to scooter
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 11, 2010I have a 2009 Goldwing with everything on it including an airbag. Its got a Sat radio and nav system that will even route you around a rain shower. But when I need to go to the store or just want to go out cruising, my Beverly BV 250 Tourer is what I jump on. I was skeptical at first being a 200 ... pound mature male, but this scooter delivers the goods and always puts a smile on my face. I did the Polini variator and the Leo Vince pipe, but what made the biggest difference was just replacing the stock air filter with a Malossi open-cell filter. Now I have a mini-scooter that can really do 83+ mph confirmed with a GPS. It's a blast to ride and a marvel of technology. It rivals my Goldwing in smoothness all the way up to the top end RPMs. At first I laughed when I saw they called it the "Tourer". I'm not laughing now and wouldn't hesitate to take it anywhere, and I'd get 70 mpg getting there. Highly highly ..... recommended!

Dan (August 4, 2009)
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 04, 2009My wife purchased a BV 250 today and was kind enough to let me take it for a 25 mile ride. I am blown away. It has fantastic acceleration, stops on a dime, is extremely maneuverable and cruises effortlessly at 60 mph. I really can't believe how much fun it is. I could easily dump my Honda Shadow ... 750 for this bike (or perhaps it's big brother the BV 500).
We have only had it home a few hours so my rating of reliability may be a little suspect but I'll update this review in a month or two.
A local dealer ran a sale with all scooters 20% off the MSRP. Talk about value!
