  • 7000 kms and still happy
By  (I am an Owner) on Jul 26, 2009

After 3 months of serious commuting (100kms each day) I have a few dislikes and many likes.

Lots of power in town to get away from loud trucks, enough top end to spend hours on the highway at competitive speeds, braking power to match. I get 270 kms to 8 litres of gas - can't beat ...

Cons: seat not big enough for long trips. The two-up seat forces you to sit straight up, after a while I want to push my butt back and lean forward to stretch and can't.

cost of maintenance, my first check up was 250 clams, ouch! Since I have to change oil and filter every 3000 kms (basically every month) I now do it myself, not hard to do and with the expensive oil and filter it now costs $60 a change.

turn indicator screws up if you power wash it. After spraying the bike with a hose I can expect the indicator to fail to work the next day, feels like a mechanical problem.

paid $3400 for it with 1500 kms on it and I love it still.
