2013 KTM 50 SX

So far this bike has been great. Bought it at the end of October 2012 for my 4 year old grandson. Initially, we had to adjust suspension setup to be suitable for a 38 pound kid and reset the clutch down to 6 clicks. After a couple of months, noticed a lot of black oil not burning well enough as i...t was all over the exhaust area so after reading the manual and trying to understand the 6 click clutch adjustment issue, determined that the engine was not able to reach the desired range of 8700 - 9000 rpms. Recently, reset the clicks back to the basic settings of 9 clicks and will have to see if the black oil stops appearing around the exhaust area.

My grandson loves the bike. It's fast and fun, and maintenance for a grandma has been a learning experience. I am very new to motorcycles and have been able to perform tasks such as changing the gear oil, repacking the silencer, adjusting the clutch, changing spark plug, checking tire gauge level with the help of the easy to understand manual that was provided when the bike was purchased along with a few tools.
