  • Nice machine (completely stock)
By  (I am an Owner) on Mar 14, 2009

Just turned 9k on my 990. No problems, had two manufacturers 'updates' on included remapping of fuel delivery which corrected the rich fuel delivery issues which caused bike to cackle while reducing speed via gearbox and the obvious 'fuel speckling' around the exhaust outlet.

Rear tire will need replaced this summer(I'm really hard on tires=hard accel/decel/wheelies), proper tire inflation is essential to get even wear from the Scorpions, I do pressure down a little for off road thumping(not too much-dont want pinch flat).

My only complaint is the clutch chatter and the the oil port that lubricates the clutch plates clogs (causing the chatter) Seat in as hard as a rock.

Overall I love it and will remain in my stable for a long, long time right next to my EXC 400. Great to tear up the streets and can still bomb down gravel/fire roads/light off roading easy with stock setup.
