Vulcan 900 Classic LT
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 20, 2016Awesome bike. Got my 1st street bike in '74 and have owned several makes and models over the years. This bike is my favorite. I ride all the time from day trips to long haul. With it's large fuel tank I can cruise over 200 miles before I need to think about a gas station, and still have a good 50 ... miles left in the tank. I looked at the Suzuki C50T, and the Yamaha V Star 950 Tourer before deciding on the Kawasaki. The Vulcan was just all around the best bike for me, also listed for $400 less than the C50T and $700 less than the V Star. Also the largest fuel tank by far at 5.3 gals verses 4.1 on the C50T and 4.5 on the V Star so a much longer range. Looks department to me was definitely the Vulcan with the C50T next then the V Star. I ride a lot of open road so a good windscreen is a must and the Vulcan was tops. The Vulcan and V Star are both belt drive while the C50T has a shaft system. Belt drive is a maintenance free system and reduces weight as well. The only thing I think that would make the Vulcan a bit better would be to add a couple teeth to the front pulley to reduce RPM at interstate speeds. So all around this is a great bike and am glad I bought it.
