  • First Motorcycle
By  (I am an Owner) on Jun 28, 2015

Riding a motorcycle has been one of my dreams, and...the 500r makes it a good dream. Riding around on this lovely machine makes me smile as I ride along. I'll "yip" and warrior cry as I fly down the road. Cornering at 80 miles per hour has never been funner, and I can see it only getting better. ...

  • First Bike, and AWESOME
By  (I am an Owner) on Jun 17, 2011

Got a new one ('09 but never sold) about a month ago, and have already put close to 1900 miles on it. What an amazing bike, grew up riding and racing dirtbikes, and what an easy transition it was to the Ninja. Good power, AWESOME fuel mileage, and so cheap. Don't think I could have gotten a better ...

  • Purchasing my second
By  (I am an Owner) on Sep 01, 2010

After many years of ridding different bikes, mainly sport and a BMW K100RS. I've come back to complete my collection of motorcycles to the Ninja 500. I can only say good things about this bike, and since this is the last year in production I decided to grab one before they're gone for good. Simplicity, ...

  • Great Commuter Bike
By  (I am an Owner) on Feb 20, 2010

Been riding for over 35 years, when gas prices went over $4/gal, I got a Ninja 500 to commute to work. Enough power to cruise hwy speeds all day, cheap price and insurance. Not all bent like a rocket bike, but not laid back like a cruiser. Old style but that what I needed for a commuter bike.

This is my first bike - I bought it 8 weeks ago and absolutly love it! Its comfortable and stable and the performance is nice. I am a beginner and while I feel uneasy (butterflys, etc) I also feel like I can handle the bike! Its a great feeling.... ive dropped it once and stood it right back up with ...

  • Everything my 250 isn't
By  (I am an Owner) on Jan 03, 2009

I just upgraded from an '07 250 to an '09 500. Things I noticed right off the bat...it's a heavier bike and MUCH more stable in the wind. It also has a wind shield that's much more effective than the 250's. It has delicious power. The turn signal indicators are easier to use. Neutral is easier ...

  • Nice bike
By  (I am an Owner) on Dec 14, 2008

This is the first bike I've ever purchased. I rode 250cc dirtbikes when I was younger, but never a street bike. I'm finding this to be a very good beginner bike; good power, but not to much to make a novice road rider overwhelmed. If your looking for ridiculous speed and performance, this bikes ...
