GREAT BIKE
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 16, 2010I currently own a 2008 zx6r which i bought back in 2008 brand new and i have to say at first it was a very slow bike once i got to racing against other 600's. but once broken in it was a whole other bike. topspeed was around 152 ish b4 full break in now with over 8000 mile i have had it to 165mph. ... At which a little vibration was what made me back off this is all stock with no modes. The trick jumper wire does change the engine not and help with top end as well

Hot Bike
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 11, 2010It's the best bike I've been on in my 40 years of riding. I have my 06 Nomad for me and the wife and it's hopped up a tad and no slouch. I got this bad boy for me. I've added a lot of comfort and protection for it but performance wise I've put a K&N air filter, Dynojet PCIII, Healtech X-TRE, Yoshimura ... Full Race Exhaust and -1 tooth down on the front sprocket and +2 up on the rear sprocket. A very popular combination for these bikes and had it Dyno tuned by a race shop. It came with a little over 97 horse power and you install a jumper on the ECU that gives you 5 HP right off then all of the other add ons I've got it up to 114.4 HP and with that gear combo she is a wild cat to ride. Less than 10 second 1/4 mile at 135 MPH. It eats new Corvettes. I love it. Lay out flat and whack the throttle, Hold on for your life.

Great
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 09, 2009I've had this bike for about 9 months now, sad to say that I went down on it recently, but I hit a water-covered pothole on the way home from work one night, so it was completely my fault. Had to replace the rear fairing, hundreds for a thin, light, cheap piece of plastic! Come on kawasaki!
...
Anyway, this bike is amazing. I put 5k miles on it this riding season, and the first 5k miles it's ever seen, as I bought it new. Handling is very good, it doesn't wobble very much at high-speeds which helps a lot for those long rides on the pike, turns very well, and handles well on less-than-perfect roads. Low-beam is very bright so you WILL be seen most of the time.
Comes with the lap timer and all the normal gadgets here and there, all respond well. Pipe isn't the difficult to replace either if you wanted an aftermarket, which you most likely would to hear the full growl of this beast. Like most 600's, the low-end torque is a little lacking, it takes a second or two for the bike to catch up when you twist the throttle from a stop, but that's how it works. Once it does start going though, that beast goes. I've driven a zx10, and well it may not be nearly as fast, it's affordable, fun, fast enough, and is a good bike to really start getting good at on. I couldn't take the SLOW ride of the 250, so I knew I couldn't buy one of those, if you're like me, you'll get bored of a 250 in no time, so do yourself a favor, and if you have some practice, buy a 600. Don't try to act all cool and start off on a zx10 or 14. Think safe, ride safe, have fun.

By (I am an Owner) on Jul 05, 2009I test drove one of these and couldn't get the thing off of my mind, so i finally traded in my suzuki sv600 for this bike and i couldn't be happier, this thing rode like a dream!! was so light and nimble compared to the sv. it just fit me like a glove and i can't stop riding it. ive had a kawi ... 250, 650, 750 and 600. and a sv 600 and this bike is by far the best of all my bikes!!

Great Bike
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 21, 2009This bike is great for the track and spirited riding. Not so much for commuting and riding around NYC. Very sleek looking. Not as torquey as the 650r or other twins. Its a great second bike. Not really meant for beginners.

Great Bike
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 27, 2009I have owned this bike for about a month now and I do not regret buying it. I also own a 1982 Suzuki GS1100G which obviously doesn't even compare to this at all. I have the special edition and I got it for $7475 and I love it. It rides great, sure it makes you sore after a while of riding, but if ... you don't like it, go buy a cruiser or some bike where you can sit straight up. Fast bike too, may not be a 1352cc, but its still fast as hell. Overall, great bike, great value, and fast. Just don't overdo it, or you'll be enjoying looking at it in a wheelchair.

Power, Performance and Looks...What more do you need?
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 25, 2008I've hit Cali canyons, Midway tracks, freeways and local communiter roadways and get the same adrenaline charge each and every time. This has to be Kawasaki's pride and joy because it does it for me. Other look at the 600cc with their 'busa muscle and are stun when I crack that throttle and climb ... up and over them. Love the thrill of it all. Pop up from a stand still, brake over the handle bars and it will entertain you and those spectators who stare in awe. Handling? Forget it, no one can hang with it and you're king of the corners whenever you get on and go. '07, '08 designers should be proud. Thanks for the engineering for it truly inspires all your competitors to meet the high bar you've already set. Looking forward to the '09. Respectfully submitted, Airborne

Super Bike!
By (I am an Enthusiast) on Oct 16, 2008I started riding in 1969 on a Yamaha--2 stroke 100cc twin. Since then I have owned a 185cc Suzuki street/trail, a Yamaha 250cc Exciter, a Suzuki 500cc Titan Twin 2 stroke, a 750cc Yamaha Virago, a 2006 Harley 1200cc Sportster/Roadster and now the Ninja ZX-6R.
Without a doubt none of the ... bikes compare to the Ninja. This might seem odd, but the Harley is great in my book, but to zip around town--in style--the Ninja simply does the trick. I can't wait till the break in period is complete to unleash this bad boy!
Cruise on a Harley--get and go on a rocket~~~

Amazing ride
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 25, 2008This is by far one of the best 600 class sport bikes to own.
The rake angle on the forks provides a much more stable platform when leaning into fast turns. Unlike the other bikes in the class, the steering is not twitchy. This is the main reason it does not come with a damper from ... factory, you really don't need it. You will greatly enjoy the progressive feel of the turning on this bike.
But don't worry, just because its smooth turning doesn't mean it isn't quick. If you want to you can flick this bike back and forth in an instant, I really love how it feels.
Save yourself from any more searching, and become an owner of a new ZX6R
