40k miles strong!

I just love my KLR. I have been riding it on many adventure rides since it was new. With plenty of room to move about on the seat the long stretches don’t get unbearable. I typically set out for a 500 mile day to get to a destination then slow down to take on the back trails. This bike can haul a lo...t of gear and handles very well under a load. The bike has preformed flawlessly with regular maintenance. I wouldn’t trade it for anything else out there. As a female rider standing at only 5'4 I found the bike a bit intimidating at first, but after a few thousand miles I was able to manage the height and weight. Slow steady balance in the single track spots is amazing. I have really put the clutch to the test as I manage my way over rocks, ruts and other obstacles. I would totally recommend a KLR to anyone who has the urge to adventure ride or take on the twisties on a 2 lane highway. With some confidence and familiarity of the bike I’m sure you will be able to scrape a peg or two even with the knobbies as I do on occasion. So with an affordable base price you can’t go wrong with a proven machine like the KLR. Parts are easy to find, maintenance is cheap and after market parts are abundant. With just a few extra dollars invested you will have a great ride that will take you almost anywhere you can dare to take on. 40 thousand miles today and if I had the chance to leave tomorrow on world tour I know this KLR would be my choice.
