  • Excellent bike!
By  (I am an Owner) on Jul 19, 2011

Traded up from a Vstar 650 and am very happy with the choice. Twist the throttle and it GOES. On the mountain roads of north Georgia, it handles the turns like a pro. Has a higher ground clearance than my wife's Vstar 950. Have ridden it from Atlanta to Key West and back without any issues. ...

Summary, excellent for a first time bike. Excellent for a seasoned pro. Excellent bike. Excellent ride.

  • Great Bike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By  (I am an Owner) on Feb 20, 2011

I have nothing but good things to say about this bike. The 900 is a great commuter bike and still keeps up with the big boys on the open road. Others have said that it is buzzy, but comming from riding a 650 the 900 is not buzzy at all at any speed. It handles very well, has a smooth and comfortable ...

  • Great Bike
By  (I am an Owner) on Sep 04, 2009

Wow, was not planning to buy a Vulcan, looking at Yamaha's 950. Glad I bought this one great ride, as strong as my brother's Honda 1100, no problems keeping up with him. Perfect for both highways and city riding.

I bought an 06 Classic LT. I found the seat to be torture so replaced it with a mustang with driver backrest. Now it is great. Have ridden over 9000 miles and plan to ride it many more. It handles great. Is great in the twisties of NC and can keep up with a nomad 1600 without straining when ...

By  (I am an Owner) on Jul 07, 2009

Traded in a VLX 600 for a Vulcan 900 and am more than pleased. I have owned the bike less than a week and have put about 500 miles of in town and moderately curvy roads. The Vulcan is easy to handle in the city and is a dream on curvy scenic roads. I plan to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway, beginning ...

  • 2009 Vulcan 900 Classic
By  (I am an Owner) on May 01, 2009

I rode 125 cc bikes 15 yrs back. When deciding to buy a bike last month, i thought 500 cc should be more than enough. Finally got convinced by others that i need atleast 900cc if i want to ride on freeways.

So, bought the 2009 Vulcan 900 Classic few weeks back. Bike looks great and ...

But after riding on it for 300 miles, i feel that i should have bought a Vulcan 1600. Vulcan 900 is flat on freeways when you are in the 5th gear. Seat and handle position aren't that great for riding more than 20 mins or so.

If you are looking for a cheap and good looking bike to just ride on internal roads, go for this bike, else look for some other bigger bikes
