I have had my new 1700 Nomad for 6 weeks and have just had it's first service (1000klm). I asked about the whining noise and was told that it is normal. No explaination of the cause was given though. By John Sedbrook(Owner), Jun. 28, 2010
I'm 6'2" and find the bike comfortable with added highway pegs. The shifting is very loud in 2 and 3, above that it’s normal. I don't seem to have the whine noise some complain about. The exhaust sounds great, not to loud to give you a headache but enough to let someone know you're there. ... Read Full Review
