  • Great decision
By  (I am an Owner) on Aug 06, 2015

Bought this bike (shown in red) in Jan. 2015. I am 65 and needed something that I could handle in the next 5-10 years. The bike came with the custom back rest and luggage rack, hard leather saddlebags and a helmet. Bike had 9,500 miles at day of purchase. Rides GREAT. since I have not ridden in ...

  • The Best Motorcycle I have ever road !
By  (I am an Owner) on Dec 16, 2013

I bought a used, 2008 yr. Kawasaki Vulcan Custom 900, motorcycle. I bought it March 2013 the motorcycle was just like brand new, very low miles, and the color, Wow, Passion Red, what a great color for any motorcycle.

    I'm a big guy, 6 foot tall and 300 + lbs. so I wanted a motorcycle that ...

The 900cc engine has a great low end torque & more than enough HP to handle myself and all of the extra gear I carry with me.

The ride is Great, the mono shock is wonderful & the belt drive is smooth and very dependable, the liquid cooled engine + cooling fan always keeps the engine, from over heating and the fuel injected engine helps you maintain the dependable famous mpg too, its an amazing machine, I don't think I will buy another motorcycle for a long, long time. Its great in this day and age to know you can buy a quality pice of machine, motorcycle , that has the quality to last and last.

I have been getting a solid 48 to 50 mpg even with my large frame of a man.

None of my friends can get very far away from me, for too long and as far as comfort, I am very pleased with the comfort level of my motorcycle, I did change out the seat to a Mustang seat with back support, but its a very comfortable ride. The 1st 5 months I owned this bike, I road it every single day at least 50 + miles a day and weekends several long distance trips each over 400 miles a day. I would recomend this motorcycle to anyone, its great all the way around, can't go wrong.

  • Envy of Seasonal Riders
By  (I am an Owner) on Jul 21, 2012

I'm a new rider and just bought a mint second hand Vulcan. This is one comfortable bike, even my seasonal riding buddy's are jealous of the comfort. We did a 300 km ride the other day, my buddy's had to stop to stretch, I did not want to. Next day I did the ride myself and did not feel like stopping ...

  • Can't go wrong...
By  (I am an Owner) on Oct 29, 2009

You can't go wrong with one of these bikes. It's an eye-catcher that draws attention wherever it goes, and it has the ability to hold your attention when you're on it as well. Light and maneuverable enough for city traffic, and more than beefy enough for highway use too! For the price, it can't ...

The liquid cooling is a *HUGE* plus as well!

  • Vulcan 900 Customer '08 model year
By  (I am an Owner) on Oct 14, 2009

    Purchased in July 2008.

Went into dealership with a few ideas of what bike I wanted to get, dealer directed me towards 900 Customer, and haven't been disappointed. No problems, issues, concerns with reliability, or workmanship. Bike rides great, you have excellent control, and don't ...

Bike gets great fuel mileage. I've been getting close to 50mpg in mostly city driving. No loss of power when a passenger gets on for two up riding.

Would highly recommend bike for a first timer.

  • Great Bike, but Kawasaki should have given it:
By  (I am an Owner) on May 17, 2009

I purchased my VN900C on July 2, 2008 and have put 11,000 miles on it so far. 2008 model, black, and I am loving every mile with it, except when I get on the freeway and try to do more than 65mph. The Vance&Hines Slash Cut exhaust is very vocal at highway speeds, and I (and many owners) feel that ...

In black, the bike is a stunner. Almost EVERYONE compliments the bike, whether they ride or not. The best part is the several Harley owners (former and current) that mistook the VN900C for a Victory at first glance...to them, I say a hearty Thank You, you just doubled the value of my bike!!!

The aftermarket is starting to catch up with the bike's popularity, and there are a few fuel injection computers that are out there, as well as the requisite exhaust/air intake combos. Many are the websites that promise big power and plug n' play ease of install, but how much of that is truth, and how much is marketing and sales B.S.? Time (and money) will tell!

I got a cafe style windscreen and some soft saddlebags that I bought from a local leather shop, and the aforementioned V&H exhaust. Might go with the Cobra Power Pro HP 2 into 1 before the summer's gone. There is also a plan to add a Scootworks rear overdrive pulley to take some of the roar out of the bike at highway speeds...again, time and money will tell. If you want a comfortable, easy handling bike with tons of fun and reliability, buy one of these!

  • First time rider
By  (I am an Owner) on Mar 07, 2009

The custom is a very easy bike to ride, has plenty of power to manuever on the highway to pass by cars and trucks, heavy enough that you do not feel like you will be blown off the road. It's my first time ever riding and the Vulcan is very comfortable for shorter people. I have a lot of confidence ...

my only complaint, are the wheels/tires..from too narrow, back too small, compaired to the fender, looks like a doughnut, but, power, i have a PC3 turned all the way up, hardkrome side burners, and an aftermarket airfilter, runs and sounds GREAT!

Needs a couple extra cogs inside the tranny ...

  • People can't get enough of this bike!
By  (I am an Owner) on Nov 01, 2008

Just purchased a red Kawasaki 900 custom

a few weeks ago. After having the bike five minutes, I rolled into the gas station and people flocked all over this bike. Took 20 minutes just to leave. Bike has Power commander,Hyper charger, aftermarket exhaust, lowered

    two inches,and special ...

license plate. This bike has the feel

of a big bike with its weight at only

549 lbs. Its nice styling, smooth power,

    and handling is unbelievable!! Lots

of attention to small details are a plus

that are not offered from other brands.

    Thanks Larry S.

  • Smooth Power - Refined...
By  (I am an Owner) on Oct 20, 2008

After riding sports bikes for the past few years i finally decided to slow down a bit. I did the usual research on forums and decided on the 2008 Vulcan 900 Custom. I can tell you that before even sitting on this bike it won me over. The looks alone are simple yet refined to the point where nothing ...

  • Great Cruiser
By  (I am an Owner) on Oct 13, 2008

I have had this cruiser for about 3 months, and I am seriosly enjoying it. I have started customizing it, and have bought a few mods. It is seriosly a good starter bike that one you can individualise. Power is definiatly there, it just does not have a great top end, max 150 K's.

I recently passed the safety course and purchased the 2008 Vulcan 900 Custom. It has been a blast to ride and more fun every day. The design is comfortable and there's plenty of power for anything I throw at it. The styling is impressive and there's a ton of aftermarket parts to customize it further. ...
