This is a great bike!

I traded a 2008 H-D Sportster for a 2008 VN 900 Classic and boy was I glad I did. The bike was used but only had 309 miles on (as opposed to the 2800 miles on the Sportster). The place I got it threw in a Memphis Shades windshield and traded me title for title. The only thing I've added were saddleb...ags. I love this bike and rode it from Tyler,Tx to Austin,Tx and back without any problems. The bike handles great both on the highway and around town. I'll soon add a backrest and then the bike will have everything I need. I highly recommend this bike to anyone thinking of getting a bike for both around town and long trips. Next summer I plan on taking a 2000+ mile trip and I am convinced that my VN 900 Classic will be up to the task and handle the trip with ease. Read Full Review

2nd to none

I bought my bike, brand new in April 2008. I have owned Yamaha's and Honda''s. This is by far the best bike I have ever been on. Handling is superb on low profile. Power off the line is great, even with a passenger. I ride it to work at least 3 days a week(any excuse, right). It has 20,000 miles now... and haven't done a thing to it except tires and oil. Consistent 52 mpg and I might add using Amsoil oil and fuel additive. This seems to increase the mileage a couple mpg.

An intown bar hopper

I road my 2008 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 classic from Greensboro to Charlotte (a 100 mile trip) and it just about beat me to death. After just 30 miles the bike vibration on my tail bone hurt so bad I wanted to get off the bike and park it for the day. The style was appealing and all I wanted to do was ...cruise to the mountains and beaches near by at about 200 miles away. This bike, as is will not do it for me. I'm sure the bike will make that 200 mile trip; but not without me. I have since changed the seat for comfort to a mustang and I admit, it got better by about 50 more miles. I laugh all the way to the bank when it came to gas milage. Thats' the best thing about this bike. It gets around 49 to 51 mpg and around $12.00 to fill up,but if I can't make it to my planned destination without too many buttocks stops, how can I enjoy that high gas milage and ride, the real reason I bought this bike. I wouldn't categorize this bike as a cruiser but a in-town bar hopper. Cruisers can make it out of town, but not this vulcan. Read Full Review

great bike with just a few issues

i bought the vulcan 900 classic last summer new. the bike handles great and i drive it just over 200 miles a day going to and from work. the only issues that i have had are that the fuel gauge doesnt read correctly and the speedometer is about 8 miles and hour off according to a GPS.
