Best bang for the Buck of All Metrics

I bought my 2008 1600 Nomad 3 months ago today. I have logged in over 9,600 miles in that time. I just finished a 3K trip thru the western states and this bike has it all. From the cruising comfort of doing 500 mile days (3 in a row) and feeling no pain...even my wife who was with me felt the same w...ay...she says it's like a lazy boy on wheels. lol.
the rumble with the VnH pipes really gives it a great thump!
It is a beast and not for the timid...but once up and going this machine really blows me away... with the weight it has, it really holds up great when you get those unexpected side winds crashing on you...the bike never waiver ed once when that happened. Read Full Review

WHAT A RIDE !!!!

Traded my 800 classic for the 1600 Nomad, WHAT A RIDE!. Best bang for the buck, little is needed to customize it since it came with everything already. It's a head turner, I get compliments everwhere I ride. Got it in August logged 2500 miles and every time I get on it it's a new thrill to be enjoye...d. LOVE MY NOMAD

Bought my Nomad in August as a surprise while my wife was in Germany. Though she was speechless at first, she totally loves riding on it. Very smooth ride, and comfortable for two. Its one of the more beautiful bikes and stylish. After shopping around, I felt this bike had more to offer for the buck.... as good as it looks

It s my first motorcycle, and when the salesman gave me the keys outside the front door of the dealersstore ,the 830 pounds beast was quite impressive...

this is not a peewee bike treat the monster gentlelly!

What a nice engine sound smooth and grommeling like a tiger grrrrrrr!

slow speed handl...ing will needs all your attention and concentration but ounce rolling above a few miles per hours
heyha! what a feeling...very easy to steer and handle i find the passage between de first and second gear to be more hawkward than the others ones though ...maybe the lack of experience??

Just Bought it

It's still too wintry in the Chicago area for me to fully enjoy my new mount. But, the first 89 miles (on the way home from the dealer) were pure heaven! I traded a 2004 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100--it was a great bike. The Nomad is even better--a smooth, stable ride, power available with a small tw...ist of the wrist. The rider seat is very comfortable, but I was ready for a break after a 2 hour ride home. The brakes are strong and effective with a moderate effort. The best attribute of the Nomad, however, is that for such a heavy bike, it is easily managed. It handles great, will change lines with steady pressure on the bar, and feels as if it has a low center of gravity. Compared to a similarly sized Harley Electra-Glide Classic that I rented last summer, the Nomad was much easier to balance and handle. The power delivery is similar between the 2 bikes. I'm looking forward to warmer weather to go 2-up and rack up some miles! So far, I'm very happy. Read Full Review
