Good torque excellent power rides to up easily on interstate very versatile motorcycle

I traded in my GS1100GK Suzuki, and I was very surprised with the performance of the Vulcan 800 V-Twin. This Bike reall was all I was hoping for and more. I am a 73 inch tall guy, and this bike is more than a comfortable fit. The ride was a little rough at first, then I raised the shock, and wow ... what a great ride, big enough to take the missis on a road trip and small enough to tuck in the corner of the garage for winter. Great gas milage, great looks, great comfort. Now the missis wants this bike for her first one, so I wll be looking at the 1500 Vulcan for myself, planning a long trip south, lol.

I have been shopping for a bike for a couple of weeks and finally settled on the 2004 Vulcan classic 800. Only to find out that I didn't settle at all this is by far the smoothest easiest riding bike that I have owned thus far. Trip was about 80 miles from the place I purchased it from. I would give ... this bike a 5 star on all categories. Also riding double with my wife is no change in the handling in performance I am 220 lbs she is 125. Great bike.

I just purchased a Vulcan 800 Classic in Denver and road it back to Salt Lake City along with my son and brother on two other cruisers. Our group had a Honda Shadow and Suzuki Intruder. The trip was about 550 miles over several mountain passes on Highway 40. To make it interesting we swapped bikes ... to check each one out along the way. I was very happy with the handling and performance of this bike. It was by far the best bike of the three. The much smoother engine and more stable ride made it a pleasure. I have read very good reviews on other sites about this bike, and found them very true. I would highly recommend this bike...just go out and test drive one.
