  • Great choice for newbie!
By  (I am an Owner) on Sep 13, 2012

get my 2nd hand's gt250r (at malaysia it's called Naza Blade 250R)recently after long time waiting for save the fund :) it's a great beginner bike i can say and with great value to money!at malaysia the price different between it & the kawa ninja is around MYR5000 which is quite a lot for me and ...

What i Like on This bike:

    1. Good spec (USD folk, V-twin, Twin Disc, Digital Speedo)

    2. Fierce outlook, large fairing & fuel tank (arguably the coolest looking in it's range)

    3. Cheap Price!

    4. fuel consumption

What i didn't like on This bike:

    1. too aggressive riding position which will make rider in pain during traffic jam (Malaysia ppl especially KL & PJ area will understand me)

    2. 5 speed gearbox (thought they perform well and match with engine performance)

    3. Oil cooler (im more favor for Water Cooling)

    4. the weight! if it can manage to reduce it's weight atleast another 10kg i bet it will perform even more better!

this bike when i bought it was sitting in a garage for a few months and wasnt taken care of due to it being roled over. i have replaced a handle bar, both front foot pegs, changed oil and tail light bulb. i would have to say it was easy to replace parts and no leaking oil or gas anywhere. im in ...

ps i only paid 1000 for the bike and with parts from richardhyosung.com i only have 1400 in it so far.

  • Great bike!!!!
By  (I am an Owner) on Sep 29, 2010

Ive had my hyogt250r for a year now and it has just hit 6000mi. I love this bike!!!!! $3900 brand new and no issues at all to date (knock on wood). For a 250 around the city it has more than enough to get you moving. I belong to a group that usually rides about 150-200miles each outing and this hyo ...

    By  (I am a Writer) on Sep 20, 2010

The hyosung GT 250r is a great starter bike I loved it all tho, its top speed is 100 good for a 250. The bike was only ment for a short ride I drive about 50-75 miles a day so this is what problem I came across with the bike. The pistons are a poor design the bottom of the piston is steel but the ...

By  (I am an Owner) on Oct 22, 2009

i have owned every brand of motorcycle on the market. And i was not thinking i would not care for this bike due to luke warm reviews in mags i have read. What a wonderful surprise i got when i did ride one. the build quality is as good as the jap bikes i own and i have put 19,000 miles on it so for, ...

  • Love the bike but a little bumpy
By  (I am an Owner) on Sep 15, 2009

Bike never fails to start, and it pulls me on the highway to 100MPH if i want it to. It holds up to a 20 yr old beating the crap out of it and for 3 GRAND i can't complain. I own a 2007 GT250R

I prefer this bike over the ninja 250 since the ninja sounds like an angry lawn mower at ...

It does what it's designed to do. It starts, runs, stops, goes forward, carries a passenger, and gets 70MPG! I will be upgrading next season to the 650 model.

  • Good in the short term, bad quality
By  (I am an Enthusiast) on Aug 14, 2009

This bike handles fine and looks great. Very attractive styling. But it is a bulky mammoth weighing in at over 450 pounds wet weight (almost 100 pounds more than the class leading Kawasaki ninja 250r). This bike has a low compression ratio compared to other similar bikes.

    The most ...

It may look nice, but that is all this bike has going for itself.

By  (I am an Owner) on Jun 07, 2009

I purchased a gt250r a few weeks ago. I'm loving it more and more everyday.

I was really skeptical about buying one after some reviews but after riding it i'm starting to think those bad reviews were just written by people who have never been on one before. After breaking it in ...

  • Bought it and happy bout it!
By  (I am an Owner) on May 17, 2009

I am a new rider, since October 2008. So I don't have alot of time riding. Few companies sell starter bikes. So I looked at this bike and liked what I saw. I've had no problems, and don't mind that it's only a 250cc, it's got just enough go for me. I think it's a great starter bike and would recommend.
