Best Bang For The Buck

I purchased the first 08 from a local shop and was thrilled from the start. My first 1000 weighs less that my previous 600. The thing steers better than a 600 as well! The balance of the machine is wonderful. Very very easy to change direction. The motor just rips. My only dissapointment came later ...when Honda annonunced that the RR was retarded to meet regulations. I was mad that it would cost me more money just to make it run the way it should. Thanks to Bazzaz, that is only a mere 150 dollars away from the bikes true power. I hope that this little mod is done for the 2009 comparison. I think for a $150 dollars more it will walk over the competition again in 2009. Read Full Review

2nd 2008 CBR1000RR

I bought my candy apple red and silver in July 08. I rode it about 3 mos. I put a yosh slip on on it, an undertail kit and a puig windscreen. Loved the bike. Then in october it was stolen. Having the choice to buy any other bike, I again chose the same 08 1000RR, same color and everything. Onl...y difference now is the exhaust is Akropovic. Love both, best decision was when i bought the first one, backed by decision to buy the second. Read Full Review

2008 CBR1000rr

Still in break-in mode but even under 6k rpm the power is stupendous. I owned an 09 yamaha r6 and compared to this bike, I can' feel much difference in the handling. I read a bunch about this bike burning oil and i'm crossing my fingers that mine wont do the same. Couldn't resist the price I paid... either. $7500 brand new!!!! Feel bad for those guys that paid retail or bought a 600 for more!!! lol Read Full Review

SWEEEEEETTTT

I owned the 2004 CBR 600rr, loved it but felt after a few years it was under-powered and sold it in 2007. waited till this bike came out 13,500 otd? no thanks! waited till november 2009...$8,492.78 otd!!! the only thing that sucked was not riding for two years. I owned a TL1000r by suzuki, r600 by ...yamaha, rode around on borrowed ninjas in LA all thru the 90's, and there is no doubt the honda cbr1000rr is the best of them all. and the price is amazing but will probably still fall in value fast but who cares I already saved $5k.
