  • First Honda
By  (I am an Owner) on Feb 12, 2019

Had both generations of Hayabusa, a Zx14 , 1200 Bandit, R6a 2 x BMW . Just bought an eleven year old Honda CBR1000 Fireblade, and I'm absolutely impressed with this bike. Considering it's age, it still feels new. The handling and braking is outstanding, as is the performance. Ok, it's not as grungy ...

  • Lacks reliability
By  (I am an Owner) on Nov 03, 2010

Fun to ride, looks great, not reliable. I had to replace the stator after only 2200 miles. I have owned the bike for over 3 years. This is the third bike I have owned and this one has given me the most problems.

  • My favorite bike so far!
By  (I am an Owner) on Nov 30, 2009

Im a 35 year old female rider, going on my 20th year of riding motorcycles. I've had them all, starting out on a lil 50cc when I was 5! I rode dirt til I was 16 then moved to cruiser style bikes, the last one being a 2003 HD Sportster, 1200cc. I rode a friends R6 and was hooked! My first bike was ...

In August of 2008 I was lucky enough to find a 2007 black/red 1000R at a great price. Today I rolled over 15,000 miles without one issue! This is such a solid bike. I can't get over how it feels just as tight as on day one, something the other two brands were lacking. Power is amazing. My motto is, know your limits and this bike is a prime example. After 20 years of riding just about every bike out there, this bike keeps me in check. I'm short, about 5'4, but with riding boots I don't feel overwhelmed because of the great weight distribution. I ride everywhere (no cage for me!). The longest I've been on a single trip is 1,028 miles in less than 24 hours. I'll admit I was a tad bit sore, but hopped on her the next day for some joyriding once we reached our destination. My GSXR felt a lil top heavy but the CBR sits just right. Mines perfectly stock and looks just as good as it did on the showroom floor, despite a harsh winter outside in DC. My only issue is pulling up next to guys on their 750's and 600's, they always wanna show off knowing they're beside a chick rider on a bigger, better bike!! The 636 and the 750 left me wanting more, now the only "more" I want is another CBR, I love the new paint schemes! My advice is this, CBR all the way. Forget your buddies and their gixxers, when it comes down to it, Honda owns the road!

What a fantastic bike! I have had this since early 07 and have loved every minute. The handling on this bike is world class once the stock suspension is tuned properly for the riders weight. The only modification I felt was necessary was a set of Heli bars to add a little more comfort for those ...

I have a 07 CBR1000RR and it has been through a lot. An accident before 200 miles, (even tho its my 5th bike), a little off-roading here and there, as my parents own 10 acres that i frequently visit, and with me riding it everyday as my daily, it now has 12,500 miles on it, and i have owned it 11 ...

Purchased my 2007 CBR100RR Silver and Black in September 2007. First thing I noticed was the power everywhere. It cruises effortlessly on the highway while maintaining respectable gas mileage. Suspension response is almost intuitive and it initiated turn in almost flawlessly. I say almost as the ...

Fit and finish is great although it lacks a gas gauge and gear indicator, but those can be lived without. Overall exceptional bike, and I will be a 1000RR owner until I'm old and gray.

Another great benefit is the online support, and the best bike specific online forum is full of 1000RR owners.
