  • "05 CBR1000RR at last!
By  (I am an Enthusiast) on Nov 21, 2008

After riding motorcycles for over 35 years and owning a Yamaha 750 Triple purchased new in 1978...that's 30 years...I baught an 05 CBR1000RR in September of 08. I can only say it's the best thing I've purchased in my whole life.

  • A great all around bike
By  (I am an Owner) on Oct 29, 2008

Performance: With 160+ horsepower, what's not to love? Blistering acceleration even to the point of unintentional power wheelies is just a throttle turn away. More importantly, midrange power is smooth and consistent. Add to that Honda's electronically controlled steering dampener and you have ...

    Quality and Reliability

Honda, regardless of cars, motorcycles, or other Honda motor devices, have all been known for there reliability. This bike is no exception. As for quality, in 3 years and 7,200 miles nothing has broken.

    Ride & Comfort

Ride can be a bit aggressive for some but front and rear suspension components are adjustable as usual. Although vibration is minimal in the handlebars, without riding gloves you'll start to notice it in under an hour of riding. The riding angle is more up right than many, but I would not classify it as comfortable. 2 hours of riding is do-able even for a novice such as myself, however that is about my limit at one time!

    Value

Best bang for the buck across the board! Any one bike may beat the Honda in one area, but no bike does it better when all things are considered.
