A keeper for me
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 14, 2017I've had this bike since day one, rode new off the lot with less than 5 miles on it. Ten years later and over 42,000 miles on it still going. It can get really hot on those warm days in traffic yet on the cooler days it's not bad. This is my second bike and I've ridden others along the way. It's ... not a BMW sport touring style ride yet a very good economy/value for the money. Haven't had any trouble other than a leaky water pump. And oil seal found once into the fix at a little over 30,000 miles

smooth as can be
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 25, 2013As soon as this bike gets rolling the weight disappears. The handling is superb and the comfort for one or two is stellar. Combine those features with the huge gas tank and it spells winner!

Used 2007
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 05, 2010Bought an 07 with 11k on the clock. My firs impression, other than the engine wine, was how easy the bike was to ride even at low speeds. Smoothest bike I've ever ridden. The dash could use a do-over with the Civic look but functional none the less. The seat is a disappointment relative to the ... quality of the rest of the bike. Foot and handlebar position is a bit too "sporty". Stability at speed is good, handling seems very good considering it's weight.

I Love My Bike!
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 22, 2009My 07 ST1300 has exceeded my expectations. I love the performance and it's quiet ride. The adjustable windshield works good for hot days or cold nights for maximum comfort. Heli bars and my throtlemyster have both helped on day trips. Adjustable shocks and headlights compliment this no frills bike. ... It has a very clean and well thought out design that makes it easy to keep clean and new looking. My seat is a little hard and causes some discomfort on longer trips. I'm considering a softer version through an outside vendor.

So far so good ST 1300.
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 20, 2008I traded in my eight year old Concours for a new left over 2007 Honda ST 1300 two weeks ago. So far I have put 1400 miles on the bike. I did the initial service myself at 600 miles with the help of the well written owners manuel.
I had planned on purchasing a new Concours 14 but I ... needed mileage and range. The ST 1300 has met and exceeded my expectations giving me an honest 300 miles per tank full and fifty miles to the gallon. Back and forth to work all week on one tank is great.
Fit and finish was alright except the right side fairing under the headlight was not installed properly when I got the bike home but with some careful adjustment everything snapped into place.
On a 360 mile ride today two up the transmission became a little sticky while shifting in Pittsburgh traffic but cleared up by the time we got home and things were cooling down a bit.
My wife and I have four bikes in the garage (down from five last year) and it looks like the ST1300 is going to be the one next to the garage door most of the time.
Great everyday use bike.

Engine Heat
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 14, 2008Excessive engine heat makes this bike almost unusable for city riding above 90F. Hwy is a bearable at this temp. But for cold weather riding, lots of heat is good.
