Back in the saddle

I have had such a blast with this little bike. For many years I rode an XR on single track in the National Forests of Southern Calif. Six years ago, I bought a KLR and got into dual sport riding. I love my KLR, but it was too heavy to do real single track. I really missed the trails, so at almost 63..., I bought the CFR. Yes,it is too small to take on the freeway, but it is so nimble on single track, it starts to feel like an extension of your body. The rear suspension is a bit limited and can slap your rear on big hits, but does not bottom out. I weigh 200 and am 5/9. I can completely straddle the bike which gives a wonderful sense of safety unlike most of the offroad 37in. seat height competition. Yes you give up ground clearance, but hey I'm 62 I like taking it "somewhat" easy and smelling the flowers once in a while. Love it! Read Full Review

Does Its Job

Great little runabout. Enough power to pull my 190lbs at 70+mph. Gets nearly 80 mpg. Does exactly what it was designed for. Not for those aggressive in the dirt. It's perfect for mild trail riding. Honda CRF230L

Just bought the bike last week and very pleased with it so far. Honda quality through and through and runs very quitely. The power is not overwhelming but it shifts very smoothly and the braking is excellent. Don't buy this bike if you plan on doing much 65 mph highway driving as she is screaming wh...en reaching that high speed. It's happy at 45 to 55 all day long and a joy to ride on the back roads and trails. I would recommend this bike to anyone looking for a great on/off road machine.
