  • Question for the mechanics
By  (I am an Owner) on Jan 23, 2015

I have heard changing the sprocket on an older Honda 750 makes it seem as though it has a 6th gear. I have a shaft driven shadow 750 is there anything that can be done to have the same effect as a chain driven bike?

  • Perfect bike for me
By  (I am an Owner) on Jun 01, 2012

I love my 09 Honda Spirit 750. I was concerned about it being too big for me for my first bike, but I believe it is perfect for me. Easy to control, light weight, BEAUTIFUL! I love this bike. And very reliable. My friend bought a used Harley, I bought a new Honda. She has to have it constantly ...

  • great bike
By  (I am an Owner) on Apr 27, 2012

I havent ridden in many yrs and decided to go with the 750 compared to the way bigger models. Its very easy to get reaquainted with riding again. The bike handles smoothly through turns and takes just a few trips to get used to leaning more and more with it. Its mostly for in town and local use, ...

I looked at many bikes before buying the 2009 Shadow Spirit 750 and I am glad I did because I love this bike. It handles great looks great. There are a couple of reviews about bounce but I haven't seen anything like that. They might try adjusting the shocks up a notch and for one it would help ...

  • I LOVE my Shadow!
By  (I am an Owner) on Apr 15, 2011

I am a 52 year old woman who has been on bikes for "MANY" years. As a kid I bought my first little honda, a 70 trail bike, woohoo! I was a happy little gal and rode the wheels off of my cherry red trail bike. As an adult I have owned 4 more Hondas. A few years ago I had a 2001 750 shadow spirit, ...

  • A beauty...
By  (I am an Owner) on May 06, 2010

I bought this bike because I fell in love with the looks. It was rather impulsive, so quite a risk. But all turned out good.

Next to the looks, let's look into:

    -Engine

Very powerfull in 0-100 kph acceleration. I've not timed it yet but i guess she could ...

Above 110 kph she loses her appetite, but is willing to bring you to 160 kph max.

    Comfort

For taller people (especially those with long legs) the sitting position is poor. As a result, your ass will no longer be satisfied after driving around 45 minutes

The suspension is good to around 80 kph. Serious bumps on the highway however can make you curse on your bike.

    Handling/safety

A chopper is less sporty than many other bikes, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun. The shadow makes relatively sharp cornering possible, but off course, don't treat her as a racing queen, she will never be that.

Manoevring between traffic does not form a problem at all once you get use to her weight.

    Conclusion

All in all: A beauty that will turn heads and will initiate conversations with facinated strangers. Fun to ride thanks to it willing engine, but for the shorter distance due to its comfort.

  • My first bike
By  (I am an Owner) on Nov 30, 2009

I love my first bike. I was wondering why I took soo long to buy a bike. I looked at several bikes from different companies. The big reason why I brought the Spirit was low seat and feel of handlebars. The ride is not that bounce. This red bike will turn head toward you.

By  (I am an Owner) on Nov 03, 2009

Great bike! The handling is great, and very smooth shifting (easy to get it in neutral to). I would also like to mention this is my first bike and I couldn't have made a better choice...not too much power where you could get yourself into trouble but enough to easily cruise the highway. The only ...

  • Bounce Problem
By  (I am an Owner) on Aug 14, 2009

2009 750 Aero brand new and starts bouncing like crazy at 55 mph. The dealership's respons is that the bike is what it, and that is, apparently a big mistake. Where is Honda's vaunted reliability? Turns out Honda has a hostory of the bounce problem with these bikes?
