Impressive!!

Wow! What a great value! Bought the 2009 Shadow Aero back in March and have over 2,000 miles on the road. It's my second bike and can't believe how easy it is to handle. Felt very comfortable the very first ride. It looks greats, handles extremely well, and has plenty of power for shorter & in...termediate trips. If you are going to do a lot of long distance traveling...you may want to move up to VTX 1300 if you are an experienced rider. All in all, I'm very happy and would recommend the 2009 Shadow Aero to anyone who wants to pay a lot less for a lot of bike. Honda got this one right!! Read Full Review

SMOOTH ON THE TAKE OFF

Great first time bike for women.

The Aero was my first bike. It was my 50th birthday present to myself. I had it for 2 months and then it drowned in a hurricane storm surge. I got a new one. Same color because I loved it so much. I am short 5'3" and the Aero fits me nicely with both feet on the ground. Easy to turn etc. Afte...r about 6 months I up graded to a VTX 1800C. I loved the power but , my feet were on tippy toe before I had it lowered. Would highly recommend the Aero. Read Full Review

not a womens bike..

My hubby bought this bike for me. I sat on it in the showroom and fell in love with it right away. But when I was practicing at home, going in and out of cones, for my test. I tipped it over twice and couldn't lift it up. It was to heavy. My husband just said, don't tip it over.. funny?!! Now I am g...oing to look for a smaller bike and he can have this one. More Bike for the Buck

The Honda Shadow is a great economy vehicle with a big bike look and ride. It comes with a first class two tone paint job that makes a “newby” wonder if it is really a classic. The 750cc version is a tad underpowered for its size, but is great on gas mileage-around 36-40 miles per gallon on the op...en road-giving relief on the wallet when you take it for ride. The V twin motor creates noticeable vibration in the handle bars as the speed approaches 60 miles per hour in fifth gear which is dampened somewhat by the rubber handle bar mounts, but not nearly enough to feel comfortable. Also the Honda will stall-out if one fails to shift into the next higher gear while engine is reving high RPMs, something that takes getting use too if you have been riding a crouch-rocket. I love the electric starter, it kicks the engine over instantly all the time. It rides and trials like a big bike. It is stable at speeds below sixty MPH. I would recommend this bike to anyone who is comfortable riding at 55 mile per hour to reach their destination. The Honda Shadow is low maintenance-gas, oil, anti-freeze ect.- and good to go thousands of miles with its’ closed shaft drive system- and making the daily chain lube chore a thing of the past. The Aero is a good deal for its’ price, $6999 and it will match the looks of any middleweight cruiser competition. I definitely recommend it to anyone who does not need a lot of speed to enjoy motorcycling. Read Full Review
