From a Wing To A VTX 1300R

I've been a Wing rider since 1982. I heard alot of good things about the VTX, and was ready for a newer bike.



So I went to C&C Sports in Brighton, Michigan. C&C takes good care of their customers. I found a very nice pre-owned VTX 1300R with only 645 miles on it, its a 2006. I said this b...ike is new.

So I told C&C I wanted it. Came back two days later to pick it up. During that two days I told myself that the VTX isn't a Wing.

Well I am here to tell you that the VTX is fine ride, with lots of power for any occasion. It holds the road like a true cruiser, and screams out lets ride baby. What a bike. HEY HONDA, OK you have the VTX where it should be, now leave it alone. Correct any flaws you might find, but leave the style, the VTX look, ALONE. PLEASE. Thanks.

Best Bike

I have 35K miles without a problem. I ride in all conditions and often carry my son. Ride is smooth and I can ride for hours without getting tired. Sounds great with Cobra pipes. KN air filter and new jets helped power and bike looks good dressed. Read Full Review

Half the price of a Harley

I ride a 2006 Honda VTX 1300R. It's good, relaiable bike. Honda had to cut corners to keep the price down, i.e lots of plastic. The bike is quick off the line, but it won't go much past 100mph.

Honda VTX 1300R

The VTX 1300R is a great touring bike. I have added a Rifle 20" windshield and Honda Touring bags to make it a road worthy machine. I just finished a 2000 mile ride through Idaho and Montana. The bike runs smooth though all gears and handles twisties with ease. It has plenty of power and cruise...s well at speeds of 75 to 90 miles an hour with ease. The only complaint I have is the trip ended to soon! Oh yeah, and the plastic speedometer housing made a loud rattling noise at low rpms that was very annoying and I would like a little more volume from the exhaust pipes. It is hard to hear the pipes at speeds above 50 mph. Read Full Review

2006 Honda VTX1300R Silver with extras

I've been riding my Honda 1300VTX R for almost 5 years now and I am still enjoying a trouble-free ride and great performance and handling. My wife is still happy to sit on the passenger seat and we are getting 44-46 mpg by myself and almost 40 mpg with two up and fully loaded. We have taken 8 hour... trips and have enjoyed alomst every mile. I have added a windshield, passenger floorboards, highway bars and pegs, hardshell bags, Honda sissy bar and luggage rack.
