Excellent Ride!

I have owned my VTX 1300 for 5 years and have had no troubles. I currently have about 19,000 miles on the bike and I still dont think its completely broken in. I changed the seats to enhance the comfort and other than that this is the best bike Ive ever owned. Bought this new and was a little leary after I got it. All my freind had 1500's. thought I'd be left behind. Afew mods and I'm in love with it. Pipes and some needle shims a K&N. was all the 1300 needed and Now I wait for the 1500's and The Harley six speeds .Would buy this one again. Fuel milla...ge is great 45to52. Done a few long hauls and had very little discomfort. Wife don't care for the small pass. seat on long hauls,short ones are fine. Bought her a gel seat,works great. Read Full Review

Best bike for the buck

I started riding in 1963 and this is the best I have owned all round. I agree it could use another gear but always has the power to get the job done. I don't agree about the looks, my bike get's LOTS of looks but it does have $4000 in add ons. Pro R hipper charger and bigger jet makes it a beast but... hard on mileage dropped to around 40. A Bike To Get

I 've had my bike over 5 and 1/2 yrs now. Can't complain a thing about it. Reliable, just the required four thousand mile service. Great ride, has good balance on tight turns and great on long rides. I do have a windshield on my bike with sissy bar and carrier rack. I don't why people feel that they... have to have a Harley. Just follow the crowd I guess. Just think my bike has shaft drive while Harleys still use a belt and chain system!! I know that the bike has plastic on it and even though I don't care for it, it does cut down on the weight of the bike.(OK, that's my only complaint!) Get this bike and you can't go wrong. I have no regrets; I guess you could go for an 1800cc model but the 1300cc on my bike gives me more than enough power. Read Full Review
