First Crusier in a very long time

It is a wonderful bike for me. I'm 5'7" and both feet are flat on the ground. First real cruiser I have had; the candy orange has received a lot of compliments; I agree with mike's comment on the gearing. On the highway I am always wanting to go into another gear. What a ride for the money

I had my bike just under two years and for I paid(just under eight grand) before adding the windshield sissy bar carrier saddle bags etc. I believe that what I have is a great value for the money. It may not be the look at me bike but what I really value is the dependability and true handling of the... bike. I have never owned a bike before so I learned on this bike on my own. I have my license and proud of it. The bike is so well balanced that learning to ride it may it easier for me. For all the Harley lovers out there, well go ahead and paid for a bike that is just way over price for what I believe it's worth. I guess being able to make all that noise must be worth paying so much for that bike!!!!
What I'm looking at now is the new 2010 Honda VT13CXA Fury. What a great looking bike..... but look at the prices that our bikes are going for now..... well I guess I'll keep my VTX1300c for little longer time. Heck I'm not ever going to get rid of it. In my mind a great for the cost

Bought my 1300c 2006 Honda VTX 4 years ago. First bike ever for me. Learned to ride a bike first time in my life! Balance on this bike helped me a great deal, yes I had a few "first" learning on this bike. Didn't realize the windshield all ready on bike acts like a sail......nevertheless, ...I read the booklet that came with bike very helpful but just riding learning to (to keep rolling) very important!!!I'm not a big person 5'8'' 185 59 years old I now consider myself a good rider. Got my license...Bike handles great, made my first 2hr ride to the coast and after a 2 hr rest came back. Tried but the bike and the ride was very enjoyable.Don't need no Harley...this would outlast this noise makers. I guess if you need status or whatever a person is lacking in his life then yeah get a Harley but for the smart and educated rider who wants a quality for a very resaonable price this 1300c VTX is it. Don't need to be noisy for lack of self esteem....ride and love it...!!!Glad I didn't listen to salesman and bought a smaller bike "to learn" as he put it. Yeah, be back in a couple wanting to trade up for a bigger bike. Like I said the balance on this bike is unbelievable easy to manuvever...drive shaft driven not chain drive like a "Harley"..hey this is high end quality like a higher priced BMW bike..WOW Read Full Review

Come back kid!

I road bikes when I was was in school, now that I have returned after 15 or so years the Honda VTX 1300C was a great choice. The bike is easy to ride, has great power and balance.
