My first street bike
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 04, 2017I bought my 04 Aero 750 in October of 2016. It had 3,586 miles showing and looked almost new. One year and 7,000 miles later I'm actually impressed with my little rice burner. It runs well and looks great. My fuel economy is right around 60 mpg pushing a windshield, saddlebags and a 300 pound rider. ... For what I paid for it I'm not going to give it anything but a great review. I would like a little better seat and one more upshift to 6th gear. What an awesome find. Worth every penny. The pics are as I bought it. Honda saddlebags, Cobra exhaust, backrest and Memphis Shade quick detach windshield were added before I got it.

Great third cycle !
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 26, 2014My first cycle was a 2001 Yamaha Virago 250. Reliable and fuel efficient. Went for a Suzuki Volusia as a second cycle after feeling the desire to ride a bigger piece. My left foot/ankle was crushed in an auto accident years ago and I couldn't find a level of comfort with the Suzuki. Too bulky for ... me.
Two years later I purchased a 2004 Shadow Aero. Been riding it about five weeks or so. It is comfortable, doesn't seem to be affected by wind much, is reliable and the fuel mileage seems to hover somewhere in the 50+ MPG range. Can't find any real flaws at this point in time. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a smaller midsize cruiser.

Best over all reliable bike 750
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 27, 2011Purchased this bike new in 2005 from the local dealer I get 55 miles per canadian gallon with 2 people and luggage and 62 mpg alone.
I have never had 1 problem with this bike I only changed the oil and installed tires.
this bike is low to the ground which makesa it handle very well ... its light and cruises like A jet on the hwy, other motorcycles have no problem keeping up.

it's a honda,folks
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 05, 2011many years a goldwing rider,i found myself having a hard time with the weight and seat height. i was made a hard-to-refuse offer on a heritage softtail, and spent about a year on it. recently acquired the shadow aero 750,and wondering why i left honda. love the look, ease of handling, fuel economy(60mpg),and ... reliability. the factory seat is a little harsh for me,but easily and fairly inexpensively replaced.

Awesome Bike
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 11, 2011I am so pleased with my 2004 Areo, I ride it every summer day, never in the rain, it's my baby color is black and purple. I get complements at all most ever stop light. They talk about Harleys, they have nothing on this bike, I will put it up against any Harley in speed and comfort ride.

A total pleasure to own and ride
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 18, 2009I have ridden since 1968. The Shadow is a fine machine that is a joy to own and cruise with my wife. It has plenty of power but a new Mustang seat is on our wish list for Christmas.

Looks and rides like a much more expensive bike
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 10, 2009After going a few years without a cruiser in the stable, I missed my old Vulcan and decided to get another cruiser in 2007. I was looking for a mid-sized bike, 750-800cc, with a V-twin and classic styling. My first choice was a Suzuki Volusia but I could not find any decent used ones. I had not ... considered a Honda Shadow Aero until I sat on one at the International Motorcycle Show in Atlanta in 2007 and it fit me perfectly!
My Aero is a 2004 model, two tone factory paint, Honda sissy bar and a custom air cleaner. It has a great sound, is very good looking and easy to ride and is the perfect bike for "slow down and smell the roses" cruising. It also excels at general transportation in the 'burbs (I use a backpack for carrying things).
While not fast, the Aero has no problem keeping up with traffic. Gas mileage has been exceptional - I have averaged 62 mpg in the two years I have owned it. Cornering clearance is not great, but hey, it's a cruiser. When I want to do some enthusiastic cornering in the twisties, I choose a different bike to ride.
I have had zero problems with the Aero and it is the prettiest bike I have ever owned. It is what most non-motorcyclists think a motorcycle should look like!

Great bike
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 10, 2008The 2004 Honda Shadow Aero is a wonderful, reliable motorcycle. It has a low seat height and low center of gravity. It feels very stable in low speed maneuvers and travels well on the highway. Wind doesn't seem to affect it very much at high speeds considering it's size. It does vibrate some ... at about 65 mph but I think a lot of it is head buffeting that could be solved with some lowers. I think it is very comfortable for touring, though the gas tank could be a little larger. It's a nice looking bike and looks larger than a 750. Mine has 10,000 miles on it and I have done nothing to it but routine maintenance. The only thing I would change is to add fuel injection and a fuel gauge. A great bike for the money
