Worst bike I've EVER owned !
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 29, 2018Bought brand new on showroom in 2012. So far the heads had to be rebuilt at 12K miles. 3 reverse motors. 2 batteries (second one to replace a brand new one they just finished putting in). Broken throttle. Broken clutch cable. Left rear brake caliper. Cruise control would not engage. Brake lights ... quit working. Speakers just quit working then come back on again. Stater. I'm sure that I'm leaving stuff out. Trike is garbage kept and has around 25K miles now. 3 bills for towing along with hotels after being stranded out of state. The only good thing I got was the 7 year warranty, but after a while even the deductible is unbearable.

2012 TriGlide
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 04, 2017I am disappointed by those who criticize things when they expect them to be something they aren't. The TriGlide isn's a cart; it isn't a motorcycle. It does't have independent rear suspension. However, if you know how to ride, it is a dream. I'd suggest negative reviewers to take a course.

2012 harley davidson tri glide Very Disappointing!!!!!!!!
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 28, 2014I have been a Harley Davidson man my whole life. I spent $34,000.00 on the biggest disappointment of my life, here are my reasons --- rear brakes have been squealing since the first 500 miles on bike, dealership keeps telling me there is nothing wrong,at 5,000 miles they tell me there is a up grade ... kit available, but not covered under warranty, they want me to pay $600.00 for this, now at 7,800 miles rear brakes are right out,at this low of miles, and the cost of this bike, this shouldn't already be happening,THIS PROBLEM SHOULD BE A RECALL!!!!!! also reverse motor went out at 1,800 miles, and was maybe used about a dozen times, next for 103 cubic inch motor, THIS THING IS A TURD!!!!!! spark knocks, lacks power on hot days, and in the hills, and the right side of the motor is always blazing hot,hot enough it burns your leg,and melts your Harley chaps, no passing power at all, HARLEY DAVIDSON DEALERSHIPS answer, put bigger cams,power/fuel tuner, and upgrade air breather, true dual exhaust, of course at my expense $4,000.00. I run the best possible fuel in this bike still spark knocks, and gets very bad gas mileage!!!!! at this point I wish I would of looked at different bikes (Goldwing, can am spider etc)my friend bought a 2011 Honda Goldwing trike, less money,he has toured the whole united states twice, has 98,000 miles on bike already with no major break downs, so far he has only had to change tires, oil changes, and brake pads at 50,000 miles, that is what I would expect of my $34,000 Harley, or even close in comparison. Im trying to stay true to Harley, but I don't feel Harley is trying to stay true to me!!!!!!! thanks for your time- Jerry McQuarter from MI

Tri-Glide Blues
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 11, 2014At 7500 miles the Triple tree came loose, almost fell off. Bike had to be towed. At 10000 miles, 2 weeks out of 2 year factory warranty entire rearend had to be replaced, along with reverse motor, discs and brakes, pads, rear compensator sprocket. $7000.00 bucks. ESP did pay. I had to pay 425 for ... belt, brake pads, and 50 bucks deductible. Now at 12000 miles the gear shift shaft at the tranny is leaking oil. Do you think Im happy!!!!. Its got 12000 miles on it. I won't embarrass myself by telling HD what I think of this crap, or what I received in service.

NO DYNO MACHINE
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 20, 2014I bought this trike because I am 65 years old,and my wife is 62.We both feel safe on the bike, and in traffic at my age,you need some help holding it up in a lot of stop and go traffic. The biggest bitch I have,is I have a spark knock.i use the right fuel, and I have done what they told me to do,but ... it is still doing it after 5,000 miles. And only one dealer has the dyno machine to hook it up to find the problem is,and its in Kansas.now, whats up with that?so,tell me someone, how does it get fixed?Harley cant tell me!!iam going for them giving me a new bike, are I will Lawyer up.Plus the right side of the bike gets so hot you could cook an egg, along with your leg.Stay away from the Trike!!!!!!

Excessive heat on right side of Trike
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 25, 2013Purchased my Trike in Montana. The closest HD dealer is 110 miles away, so I discovered the excessive heat problem the first time I rode the bike. I loved my Electra Glide and traded it in for the Trike. I thought for more comfort and more riding. I've only got 700 miles on the Trike in 2 summers ... as the heat from the right side is so excessive It's no fun. Harley directed me back to the Dealership and the Dealership said there was nothing they could do. If I had the money I'd hire a lawyer, but I spent it all on the Trike. Any suggestions would be helpful, short of going out and buying a new Honda Trike. The gas mileage sure is disappointing, but haven't ridden it enough to see if that improves. Any ideas would be helpful?

2012 Trike Ultra Classic
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 15, 2013No complaints at all with mine. Bought it new last year. This year I took the cat out of header pipe and went in to get my 5000 mi maintenance. Runs cooler. A bit louder (have python slip on's) Runs fantastic...Now in 6th gear it climbs hills with no problem (before lost some speed in 6th gear). ... I advise everyone to remove the cat (like night and day). Very happy with this trike...

Tri Glide Blues
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 19, 2013My experience with this 30 thousand dollar machine is not good. I cant believe Harley put something like this out!!
It is gutless in 6th gear. I know thats overdrive, but I should not have to stay in 5th gear to keep up with a 650cc Yamaha while traveling down the interstate.
Harley ... dealer says it need new 255 cams and a power commander, and they will install them for just under 1000.00 bucks.
Damn, I traded in my paid for 07 Ultra Classic for this P O S.

Really mixed thoughts
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 11, 2012Three days ago I picked up my 2012 Tri-glde Ultra. Initially I was thrilled! Handled so different then a two wheel MC, but expected that. Milage low, I got 24 MPH. But, from what I red, it gets Better. My big disappointment was at 120 miles, I broke down on freeway. Dealer mechanics tell me the ... cluch plates gone. AFTER 120 miles? Insult to injury, dealer claims it is not warranty covered, "driver error." still fighting that decision, but why should I have too.

Bad Brakes
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 14, 2012I have my trike in for the 5000 mile check right now. I just got a call that the back brake pads and rotors need replacing, $610! Gimma' a brake. I am 69 years old and have been riding since I was 14 and I don't know how to use the brakes? Owner problem, no way. I took the trike in for its' ... 1500 mile check and leaving the dealership the brakes were squeaking. I was going on a 3000 mile trip so I thought the best, that the squeaking would stop. Now "they" say it is my fault that the rotors and pads are trashed? Sorry Mr.Harley but this one should be on you...
