Bought the motorcycle in Nov. and rode,weather permitting,all winter with temperatures 20's & 30's F.The front lowers and fairing air deflectors are fantastic at keeping the cold air away from the rider.The 103 supplies plenty of power which gives smooth,crisp acceleration with or without a pass...enger even on a steep grade from a stop.The six speed transmission shifts fluidly and makes the ride on highways relaxing while the engine purr's effortlessly along. The center of gravity is low which makes balance and handling superb.Braking is instantly reactive and has no problem stopping the nearly 900 lbs.The seat is quite comfortable and after a long ride there is no discomfort.If you get the ultra classic glide I suggest a driver backrest.It will increase yor comfort tenfold.So far not a hitch with this motorcycle.It has been tremendous. Harley for a road trip ? never ever again

Having hired this bike to ride from Boston to nova scotia and back I have to say that in reliability it's great press the button and go

The seat is comfortable

The style is great

BUT

I have to say its way too heavy as it is so with 2 up plus luggage the shocks bottom out far too easily

th...e noise is so loud you need regular breaks to stop your ears ringing Long before you need fuel
the fairing tries to force wind straight up instead of around the rider and rain runs up the front then over the top and down the back of the screen for even less vision
The stearing lock is awfull with a trial to get the key out once locked
The kick stand is floppy to excess and am sure if not parked in gear it would roll off it ,add to this there is no sensor to stop you starting while in gear makes it amazing you don't see many on there side and no you wouldn't be able to pick it back up
The seat as well as being comfortable is like a sponge so after a wet ride the next time you use it water gushes out through the stitching and down your leg
For a bike less than a year old it's showing signs of the dreaded rust
for a 20 odd year old hack this would be ok but for an almost new bike costing over 21000 it is shocking beyond belief
It is suitable only for keeping in the front room as an investment only to be used for popping to the shop on a sunny day

2012 Ultra Classic

This is my 4th Electra Glide in 25 years. The 2012 is the best handling, most reliable, nimble and all around best motorcycle I have owned to date. ABS is tops! 103 is great. Fit and finish are excellent . The sound is reasonable. The heat output is a little much with the lowers on on a hot day. Rem...ove the lowers during the summer. Un Balanced

I bought a 2012 Ultra classic brand new. After owning several Harley Davidson Bikes, I found that this bike has a higher center of gravity and with 2 people on it, I found that it is prone to falling over.
