Black Betty
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 26, 2012When you give your scooter a name, well, you know you have a new friend.
I've been putting a lot of miles on Black Betty over the last year and am real happy with her performance. I have had several HD's over the years and Black Betty's stable mate is a 63 chopped, rigid FLH. When I need to ... do some serious miles (therapy) I ride the Limited. Smooth, trouble free, carries what ever I throw or tie on it and cruises really well at 75-80 mph. Gas milage is good and I use no oil. Oh, and to all you older bikers out there, she leaks no oil. I highly recommend this bike. My wife (honestly) falls asleep listening to the stereo. I slowed to stop the other day and she said (intercom) "where are we?" I asked if she had been sleeping and she said "yeah, just woke up." That says it all! My complaint? During scheduled servicing my dealer said my neck bearing felt a little loose and wanted to replace it. Cost was not an issue and I gave the go ahead. When I saw it on the bill, I said "this should be under warranty." Nope. Pissed me off that I paid that much for the 'best motorcycle in the world' and they (factory) would not stand behind their product. I paid under protest and went out and rode for 3-400 miles.

Wow
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 06, 2012I have been riding since the late 70's and had everything from the BMW RS series to my latest Honda Goldwing. Today I purchased my first HD and all I can say is WOW. The 6th gear on the highway was smooth and cruised flawlessly. For such a large bike it was nimble and very responsive. I was worried ... not having an electric reverse but found t seemed amazingly easy to maneiver and the was on a dirt/gravel/grass driveway. the wife was very happy at the comfort comapred to the the GW and I must say I was also. This very well may be the last bike Ill need to own and couldnt be more pleased in my decision over a new Gooldwing. Im sorry HD for all the grief Ive given you over the years...Kudos to this new ride!!

solid performer
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 03, 2012I bought my flhtk last year and everything about this bike is impressive.Given the size of this bike it is quite nimble in the city but it really excels on the highway. My wife is a lot happier on this bike, there is no compromise for her comfort so we ride longer and further. The 6th gear really levels ... the bike out on the highway.I don't regret a single penny of the cost,I got everything I paid for.

Awesome Ride
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 29, 2012This was my first Harley after having ridden smaller bikes years ago. The wife and I love it! Great power and responsiveness in the turns. Can't wait for the snow to leave so I can get back out - it's killing me.

5000m trip
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 01, 2011I bought the limited at three rivers h/d pa. I then took it on a trip through s/e U.S The mileage was 45/47 @ hwy speeds. All the bells and whistles worked accordingly. Iam very satisfied with the handling through the curves and the passing ability on the open road, couldn't be happier. Riding since ... 1973. Wil in W/pa.

Awesome Bike
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 26, 2011I have a 2011 Limited and I'm very impressed. Plenty of power for passing, even fully loaded down with passenger and Dakota Roller suitcase. Bike runs as cool as can be expected, even on hot days (95+ degress). Tire wear is awesome. Have 15,000 miles and still have half the tread left on the rear. ... Crusie holds steady. Drops 2 to 3 mph and holds there going up hills in 6 gear. Very impressed with the stability in the corners for this machine. I average 44 to 46 mpg at 60 to 65 (pending on wind and direction).
Don't have any majior complaints. I know every bike is differant but for me, this is the best bike I've owned.

Awsome Machine
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 04, 2011This bike is a great touring machine. The handling, power & comfort compared to pre-2009 touring bikes is incredible. No more wallowing through high speed turns or worrisome tracking on rain grooves or metal bridges. The tranny is so much tighter and precise. With ABS, six gallon tank, oil cooler, ... titanium guages, great paint & lined hard bags, heated grips, cruise control, four speaker stereo, the added price is a steal. Compared to my 2007 Street Glide, there is no comparison. If you like it, buy it, as you won't be disappointed. It's not over-the-top like the CVO Electra Glide and you can use the savings to add those special touches we all do to our Harleys. I ride long distances and this bike just asks for more.
