  • 2010 Road King, not perfect but as far as I'm concerned my bike for life
By  (I am an Owner) on Jun 14, 2011

After 30 years of riding metrics and talking down Harley's, I was finally convinced they had changed some important things and decided to give them a try as I was shopping for something my new wife (who actually likes riding with me) could be comfortable on. After looking at a lot of bikes and riding ...

Well from what I have experienced along with what I test drove, this is what needs to happen to a RKC. I love this bike! I can roll almost to a stop without it starting to wobble. It is stable and comfortable for long rides and fun for short ones.

I can take off the windshield in 15 seconds and ride it like that around town and it looks like the Fat Boy's older brother. For the long rns I can put on the windshield and the Sissy bar and the extra rack and have a real Road Bike. With the engine upgrades it does whatever my wrist asks.

I have ridden this bike 10 hours in a day without feeling tired or sore or stiff. My wife probably needs a better seat for her but I am fine. I will probably also buy a Bat Wing Faring that clips on where the Windshield goes and put a sound system on that. Then I will have many versions of the bike setup for different rides.

I test rode a stock RKC 103CI and can completely see some of these comments. But if you do these few mods this bike is perfect! For me anyway!

I spent a lot more than I've ever spent on a bike, but I'm guessing it will also hold more of it's value.

Right now, I see it as the last bike I will ever have to buy. It get lots of looks and comments and compliments! For the first time in 30 years, the bike itself contributes to my motorcycle experience!

I've been on Harley since 1975.First on a 1000cc AMF Sportster. This almost turned me away from Harley.I rode Honda and Susuki until 2001 and bought a new Wide Glide. This was a new Harley the way Harley should be.What a bike, all the show stoping style and very reliable.Next 2004 Electra Glide.A really ...

  • Worst Motorcycle I've Ever Ridden
By  (I am an Enthusiast) on Aug 19, 2010

Without a doubt, and I've been riding for 30 years, the H-D Road King Classic is the worst motorcycle I have ever ridden. I rented one for two days and took it back after two hours. Why? The seating position--relationship between the seat, bars and foot boards--was Extremely uncomfortable. When I ...

  • Harley Cop
By  (I am an Owner) on Aug 15, 2010

I've been riding police motorcycles for over 25 years. Most of which have been Harley's. I just bought my first personally owned Harley which was the 2010 Road King Classic. I am very very impressed. The engine is so strong, the ride is comfortable, and the motorcycle handles like a dream. I highly ...

  • Two Hondas and now a 2009 Road King in my garage
By  (I am an Owner) on Jun 15, 2010

Always loved the Road King look but I was always somewhat disappointed after I rode one. As most of you know 2009 changed things at The Motor Co. WOW did it! I've been a metric rider for 30+ years. Now my 2003 Honda ST1300 and 2006 Goldwing sit in the garage with my 2009 Road King Classic. Not trying ...

  • No excuses H-D
By  (I am an Owner) on Mar 24, 2010

I've done a good deal of touring, most of it on BMW motorcycles. With the improvements in the 2009/10 touring models, I thought I'd give H-D a try. This is a superb bike that doesn't need to be placed in the framework of "tradition" to be loved.

  • MacDuff's 2010 Road King Classic
By  (I am an Owner) on Oct 14, 2009

If you're interested in the 2010 Road King Classic, and you popped in "2010 Road King Classic REVIEW" into Google (or yahoo if you love being served advertisements constantly), you ended up here.

You will notice there are no reviews for the 2010 FLHRC because - at present (10/2009) ...

The majority of hits are for webpages that duplicate the spec sheet for the bike: 1584cc, 6-speed transmission, etc. Not that helpful, is it?

If you want the shorthand review of the 2010 FLHRC, here it is: suspension is a dream, and the stock engine is a joke. It's a beautiful ride if you can wake her up.

I own a 2010 Road King Classic. I'm just a guy who happens to be keen on doing all my homework before making a purchase and after slogging through lots of 09 info and talking to lots of folks, I realized I ought to condense my information into a single 2010 FLHRC resource so that anyone who also decides to do their homework before driving one home can have an easier job of it.

That resource is my personal blog, which I set up just to detail my own experience with the 2010 Harley-Davidson Road King Classic. The site is roadkingclassic.wordpress.com and I hope to see you there.

(My thoughts are too voluminous to include in this website's review, plus I am reserving my right to make edits - my reviews are on my blog.)

    Best,

    MACDUFF
