2007 ULTRA "BUGS"
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 28, 2015I'VE HAD MY 2007 FOR A YEAR NOW. LOVE THE BIKE . ONE THING I HAVE PROVEN. ROYAL PURPLE OIL IS NICER THAN AMSOIL. THE PREVIOUS OWNER SWORE BY AMSOIL. I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT. BUT SOMETHING MADE ME WANT TO GO ROYAL PURPLE. MAN AM I GLAD I ANSWERED MY WANT THIS TIME. NUETRAL IS NO LONGER AN ... ISSUE TO HIT; BIKE RUNS ALMOST TWENTY DEGREES COOLER. A HUGE PLUS IN THE HOT TEMP. DAYS. THE OTHER THING ABOUT THE BIKE IS HARLEY PUT A VOLTAGE RELEASE ON THE STARTING SYSTEM FOR 2007 ONLY AND MUST OF FOUND IT WAS A PROBLEM IDEA. I WISH THEIR WAS AN EASY BYPASS {FIX} FOR THIS. AND I FOUND THE SCREWS IN THE PRIMARY COVER WHERE YOU REFILL THE SYSTEM AT. SUCK !! I CHANGED MINE TO ALLEN CAP STYLE. RIDE ON !!!

A change to a real motorcycle
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 10, 2011I purchased my 2007 Ultra new in 07 by trading in my Yamaha Roadstar. While the Yamaha had great power and torque. The Ultra Classic handles like a dream. Power and torque after adding V&H True Duals,Big Air Kit and V&H Fuel Pack got it close or slightly better than the big Yamaha. Comfort,Handling,Storage ... and all the other bells and Whistles,Especially Cruise Control and stereo set this mortorcyle apart from any other. I have never been happier with a motorcycle. Couple of Elitrical issues but still a world apart. There are many motorbikes but only one Motorcycle. Harley All the way for me. A different breed.

Wow.
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 22, 2010Traded in my 02 FLHR for the 07 FLHTCU and could not be happier. The fuel injected 96CI engine with that sixth gear is what I've been missing. Plenty of power, very smooth and stable. Handled the 1800 mile run to Denver and back with ease with better than 45MPG. Negatives: nothing serious - Did tend ... to lug a bit on the inclines in 6th. Popping the fuel cover is a bit awkward with gloves. Finding neutral not as easy. Pleasant suprizes: cruise control operation, radio scanning, good console visibility, fuel tank scupper drain.

Just purchased
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 02, 20102007 FLHTCU with 7,602 miles and after 500 miles this bike seems to be as good as my first Harley, a 1995 FLHTCU. Yes, this bike is exactly as the '95 in feel, power and ride. Good that I liked the '95 so well and was not looking for improvements.
The 6 speed is nice, a little clanky but ... if I feather the clutch it does fine. After all, with 7,602 miles you can't expect a new bike!!
Got to start taking advantage of test rides...

2007 Pearl Black
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 13, 2010After years of riding a 1997 superglide I finally bought a 2007 Ultra. I never knew what I was missing. The bike from the factory was ok but needed a little help to perform better. A Power commander module, Vance and Hines exhaust and a free flow air filter and a good dyno tuning woke up the bike ... and now I can roll with my Bros whom all have hopped upped bikes. With a little work it can be better than you can imagine. Roll On!

Not Bad
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 20, 2009Overall a nice bike. Handles good and is comfortable however the materials quality is lackluster. The seat material is poor and stitching separates. I have had electrical problems "charging system" as well as switch issues "radio" The bike has power but still feels like it strains on moderate inclines. ... The security system is a hassle and false alarms often. I like the lower leg fairings however there is no place to mount highway pegs, so if you like to change rider positions... your out of luck. I average about 45 MPG and have put about 28K miles on my bike. Resale values are erratic and trade in value is even worse. I strongly suggest an extended warranty if you are considering buying this model as electricial problems seem common with these. Also, if your trading in an Ultra that you have maxed out with chrome, take it off before trading it in. I was able to use it on my new ultra and saved myself over $900. All in all, it's a Harley and the best they have to offer. Also, pay cash or arrange your own financing. HD will rip you off with their finance plans. Ride Safe!!

Harley MFG. a Great Touring Bike
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 08, 2008I have own my 07 FLHTCU for 1 year and have since rode it over 13,000 miles. It rides like a dream as a solo rider. The gas milage is very good. The bike handles great on country roads with nice tight curves. Plenty of storage for those long hauls.

Screaming Eagle Ultra Classic
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 15, 2008First of all it's got the big 110" cu motor. It rocks. Even pulling the weight (875 lbs dry) it hauls like no other dresser I have ridden. I've added a few performance parts to her but nothing too exotic. Mostly exhaust, high flow air filter and race tuner. It still manages to get 100 hp to ... the rear wheel and about 125 ft/lbs of torque at 3250 rpm. Just perfect for getting onto the highway or a need for speed.
As for reliabilty it's fair. Had the head gaskets replaced at 10k miles. Now I need the heads replaced because of a possible valve guide failure. I was notified by mail direct from the corporation about a few so "called issues" that they have been having on their 110 motors. Of course they say no safety issue. Well you tell me. If I was hauling down the highway and the valve guide decided to go. I wonder what would happen to the motor or better yet me. Hmmm Interesting. Oh well they are changing it for free.
HAd to have the heated hand grips replaced due to failure. It was easier for them to change the handlebars then just changed the grips.
Had and still have a high idle when starting. Even happens if the bike is warm. Brought it in several times and still nothing. I'm told it's the pipes. I think it's because their race tuner does not do a good enough job of handling the change. Guess it's time to go and buy either the Vance and Hines or Power Commander.
The radio will turn on at times full blast or needs to be pushed several time unitl it finally comes on. The GPS in the radio shows opposite direction. Even after resetting it.
Oh well I guess for the money I do get a lot of bike but would think that something costing over $35K and being assembled by true craftsmen that the reliabilty would be better.
