Iron 883 is the BEST

I have to say, I did not like the flat black series of motorcycles to start with. My 17yo son did. He was on a Suzuki C50T 800cc bike and would sit on every bike in the Harley shop. Myself, on a wing for a long time, now on the '09 Ultra, WOW! Well, I decided to surprise him with the Iron 883. ...I am in love with the bike after traveling 50 miles. Comfortable and plenty of power. We added the short shot pipes, mini-apes and forward controls. I can not take my eyes off of it. Very nice. For a smaller bike...you can not go wrong. Excellent Bike

I was worried about a few things when I looked into this bike. My main concerns were that I'm 6 foot even, so I worried about the mid controls being uncomfortable. Also, the 883 engine size might be disappointing.



Let me tell you, I was wrong on every single count. The stock pipes roar off th...e lot like only a Harley can. The ride is unbelievably comfortable for a standard cruiser. Above all, the bike is incredibly fun to ride. Rolling back the throttle gives me just as big a grin as the first day I rode it home.

I highly recommend this to all interested. Harley has never disappointed, and I challenge you to find a better value.

GREAT looking bike

I bought this bike when Harley had the ride a sportster for a year and trade in for a dyna, softail, or touring bike and get MSRP back within a year. It was my first Harley and I loved the bike. I love the look of the bike. The performance was surprising. The quality and reliability was great. ...Never had a single problem and I put 3,800 miles on it within 6 months of owning it. The reason I traded it in is the ride and comfort. Now I had mine turned into a 2 up and when I was on it by myself the ride was a bit stiff, when I had my girlfriend on it, the bike was WAY TOO stiff. Even after tinkering with the suspension. It is a great bike for going from point A to point B within 100 miles, but after more you back will start to feel soar. Overall I think this bike is a GREAT value. But if you want this bike to be scratch free and looking like it did when you first bought it GOOD LUCK. I am........ how you say, anal when it comes to my toys and when the paint would get a scratch you can't polish it out or cover it up in ANY way. I did numerous searchs and no body has a fix for a scratch in the denim paint. If you want a basic bike to just cruise around town and am not anal about chips in the paint or anything. First Harley

I had decided to buy a Harley Sportster and tried them all. I decided that my favourite to look at was the Iron 883, most comfortable handlebars were on the nightster (being wider and further back) and most suitable foot controls were on the custom (being forward mounted). The coolest bike around.

I am in love with this cool machine. This bikes' all black, no nonsense look surpasses even the HD Nightster and the very cool Triumph Bonneville.
