  • What a Machine
By  (I am an Owner) on Jan 06, 2012

I have owned five bikes in my life and ridden many others. I am now 55 years old and bought my first Harley three years ago I now have 56 thousand miles on my bike and it is the most trouble free bike i have ever owned. I have changed the air cleaner to a K and N and modified the baffles and it runs ...

By  (I am an Owner) on Sep 07, 2011

I've been riding since 1967 and I think I have rode every make but I just got a 2009 custom and all I have to say is wow. I have a 99 Fatboy and liked that for rides in the mountains but this bike is better at cornering and power I am amazed.I guess you can teach an old dog new ways thanks

  • Great Bike
By  (I am an Owner) on Mar 10, 2009

This is my second Harley and it's fantastic! The six speed is great for highway travel yet the bike hugs the road on both back roads and highways. Great bike for two. Not for amateurs!

Can't wait to make some mods this Summer.

  • Nice bike, Excellent Comfort, good power
By  (I am an Owner) on Nov 06, 2008

This is my first Harley. I started riding it with everything stock.

I had it dyno'd and the results were around 62Hp and i think 79 ft/lbs

Since, I decided to add the SE Heavy Breather. I will get it dyno'd again soon.

Since purchasing in late August 2008, I ...

I can do nearly 300km to a tank of gas. That works out to around 40 mpg.

This winter, I want to put on a windshield, and finish a Stage 1 upgrade. Hopefully, my power goes up without losing too much fuel economy.

Overall, very happy with the purchase. My only complaint is HD seems to have not torqued the Compensator Nut properly on the new bikes. It was a little noisy right off the bat, and being a new HD owner, I didn't recognize the noise coming from my primary. They fixed it under warranty, but my thought is, they should have kept the tighter torque settings in the first place.

Excellent bike. I can't wait for next year.
