Agile, Powerful and GORGEOUS!
By (I am an Owner) on May 12, 2012I love this bike. Unlike a few other reviewers, I really like the mid controls. I have highway pegs for comfort, but I like the posture of the mid controls for in city driving. I have the mustang LowDown Touring seat which is also 5 stars!
The bike is very responsive. I love the overall ... feel and look. I can't think of a thing I would change.

Love my "bobber"
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 10, 2010I bought my 2009 Street Bon=b in Jan of '09, and have not regretted it. I think the bike is awesome!!!! Have had no problems with it. At 5'4 (lady rider) I did have some issues with planting my feet on the ground. This past Christmas my fiance bought me a lowering kit from JP Cycles, lowered the ... back end by an inch, and it is now a dream to ride. Took a 320 mile ride one day, on the stock seat, and was ready to go further at the end of the day. I have no intentions of ever getting rid of this bike.

1st Harley
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 16, 2009I bought my firsty harley a couple months ago, an 09 Street Bob. I love it. Great power and better handling than I expected. Am considering a quater fairing as i find I catch a lot of wind, particularly on the highway. Can anybody offer any suggestions regarding this? Thanks.

Just the way it is
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 13, 2009I like the bars on the street bob, especially seeing as they dont wobble like isolated risers of evo softtails. the mid controls are bad for cruising but good when you finally come to a corner so i'll be adding hyway pegs to the front mounts. the only thing i'll complain about is the ridiculously ... soft front end. The dive under braking is like a trail bike!

WARRANTY BS
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 11, 2009I tried to take my street bob to Alaska
I had 12000 km on it. I got within 120 miles of the Alaska Border. I stopped to get gas, the bike wouldn't start. I tried getting a jump it wouldn't start.
Got it back to the dealer at whitehorse yukon. Battery and stator failed. First ... he said the jump start killed it. So he voided the warranty then he blamed it on an aftermarket part snd voided the warranty. He went ahead without my permision did a bunch of work and handed me a huge bill. I had to abandon the bike. Trev Deeley Canada backed the dealer voided the warranty on the bike forever. Even though my home dealer told them the case of the failure was a plate in the battery cased the charging system to fail.
Pretty chicken shit I wonder what Bill Harley and William Davison would say.

New Harley Owner
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 11, 2009I've had my 09 Street Bob for a little over a month now, and love it. My first cruiser was a 05 Honda Shadow. It was a really good bike, but the 750cc engine just wasn't cutting it anymore, plus all my riding buddies had Harley's. I had forward controls, Vance and Hines short shot exaust (black), ... stage I kit, badlander seat, and passenger foot pegs added out of the dealership. The bike is sweet, and i put my first 1000 miles on it in less than 3 weeks. I hear alot of people talking about the engine not being all black, but i think it evens the bike out the way it is now with the grey. I think iot has the perfect balance of black, and chrome, and the 96ci engine hauls butt!

By (I am an Owner) on Jun 28, 2009I purchased a 09 Street Bob just a few months back, it is another for the collection. In honest terms I love it. Don't think I will ever ride anything else. With a few aftermarket accessories it is a real street sweeper. I have noticed it pulls a bit to the left, but I don't find it a problem. It ... is fast and off the line it is hard to beat. My only suggestion is dind something else to take off. Continue the good work guys.

Impressed with my first Harley
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 08, 2009I've been riding for right at about 20 years now, always cruisers except one gsx-r 750 that I put about 12K miles on before deciding it was back to cruisers for me. Picked up an '09 Street Bob last October. Just turned over 5K on the bike. Overall I've loved it and have had zero problems with ... it. The only minor complaint I have is the mid-controls. I'm 5'11" and the seating position with those mid-controls borders on being silly. I put highway pegs on the bike and shift with my heel apply the rear brake with my heel. Might put forward controls on it in the future. For now the highway pegs are doing fine for me. If this bike continues to run as well for me as it has in the first 5K miles then I'm sold on Harley.

So far so good
By (I am an Owner) on May 26, 2009I just traded in my 883 hugger for this Dyna. Flat Black paint. I'm completely happy with the ride. It's a nice change from the sportster.
The foot controls are perfect for me (5'3" female), bars are perfect. Harley Davidson is throwing in a lowering kit and a luggage rack for free.
The ... flat black is my only concern. Water marks are going to be an issue. But I have heard some home fixes.

Risers anyone??
By (I am an Owner) on May 14, 2009I agree with much of these opinions: while it is a good lookin bike with a smooth ride, why the silver casing, mid-controls, and my biggest concern is not being able to fit risers. Mentioned is a company called lonerindustries. Well, lonerindustries.com is an expired domain. I'd appreciate any ... help if there's a different web address. Thanks!

Nice Bike
By (I am an Enthusiast) on Feb 22, 2009I feel pretty much the same as the other reveiwers do about the Steet Bob except for the dislike of the mid controls. I personally don't like forward controls and I'm glad Harley didn't use them 1)puts you in a better riding position for agressive riding 2)I don't like the way forward controls make ... you look going down the road w/ your legs stuck out and the wind blowing up your pant legs. I'm 6'2" and still prefer mids. Awesome no nonsense bike.

Straight forward
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 16, 2009Recently I purchased a street bob. All in all, it has been a dissapointment. From day one the bike never went straight. To go down the road required constant steering away from traffic. The dealership where I bought it tried to correct this sighting many ridiculous reasons why it pulled to the left ... such as; "the weight of the clutch cable steers harleys to the left, and Rhinehart exhaust makes harleys go to the left"! When they failed to fix the problem, they changed their story to "no harley goes straight, and there is nothing wrong with it" Behind my back, they convinced the manufacturer there was nothing wrong. Harley- Davidson now refuses to honor my warranty on this issue at any dealership!

what happened to the street bob
By (I am an Enthusiast) on Feb 13, 2009Ok first off i am big dyna fan and i love my 08 bob! But what did they do to it in 2009 it lookes like crap. Ugly grey engine cut fender and cheapened it up a bit. Look i know the economy is bad but dont take it out on the bikes, if some one cant afford one they can buy a sporty. 2008 street bob ... best one made!

New Street Bob
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 13, 2008The new 2009 Street Bob is sporting some new looks. The most notable change on this years most outstanding Dyna is the chopped rear fender and retro tailight. The tailight itself forces a repositioning of the license plate that is a very refreshing change from the stand up bracket. The only groan ... from many of the "Blacked Out" Street Bob owners is this years new silver casing. One of the biggest head scratchers is the $800 reduction from last years MSRP. The bottom line is this is a head turning machine and destined to be one of this years biggest sellers for Harley.
