Little wonder it's called Classic
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 12, 2015I've had my 08 Heritage for 3 years now. It's gorgeous in H-D Vivid Black, blacked out engine with machined fins and gobs of chrome. Everywhere I go, I receive compliments on my beautiful Harley. I have Rush slip on mufflers so it's loud but not obnoxious. The passenger pegs were ditched in favor ... of passenger floorboards. The bike has a H-D aftermarket seat. The bike makes great power and with the Cruise Drive 6 speed, gets real decent fuel economy for a 1600cc bike. The ride is perfect with one or two up. You have to be going 75-80 mph to use 6th gear but when you do, the bike settles into a deep rumble as you are gobbling up miles like a teenage boy eats a roast beef sandwich. It's that good. In three years all that I've had to do is change the oil and the battery in a key fob.

By (I am an Owner) on Dec 28, 2014I bought a Heritage Softail Classic last September and really have enjoyed it going to sell my 2006 VTX 1300, but keeping my 2008 Kawasaki 1400 Concours. Really like to classic look handles nice lots of torgue. Needs a little better shock in the back and slightly slow, but fast enough. Really glad ... I bought it.

But could never afford one, I got out of biking in the late 80.s and now in 2014 just bought 2008 anniversary, Love the bike, Handles like a dream, I live in a state where there are no straight roads, Tons of Power, Only down ... side is I have a bad back and seat is not comfortable to me only complant with the bike I have 14k miles on bike.

Versatile cruiser
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 08, 2012I purchased my 2008 Heritage after renting one in California in the fall of 2007, at the time i was riding a Suzuki C50T. I assure there is no comparison, the Heritage is very nimble around town and very solid on the highway. I recently rented a 2012 Ultra Classic in Arizona and although it is a ... very nice bike, i was glad to get back on my Heritage.

Larry's 2008 HERITAGE SOFTAIL
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 04, 2011I bought my 2008 Harley Heritage Softail on October 26 2007 love it . I have added a Screaming Eagle Heavey Breather Intake ,Pro Super Tuner ,D&D Slip on Mufflers and some Screaming Eagle 10 Milameter Red wires the bike is Vivid Black. I then took my Heritage to (The Dyno Difference) in Dallas ... Texas and Ed the owner spent Three and a half hours Dyno Tuning my Heritage. What a difference it made in the overall peformance I would recomend a Dyno Tune . The mileage increased and the power and sound is unreal. Ed tuned it from idle to 117 mph at 6000 RPM's on the Dyno in 5th gear it was at 117mph no need to shift to 6Th.LOVE MY HARLEY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 21, 2010Impressed, bike handles well. Fuel injection responds flawlessly. Bike is so smooth during acceleration it feels like a caddilac. 80mph feels like riding on a cloud. O.k. maybe not 0-100 in 2.5 secs but I can still blow past anything on the road with no problem. Got to pay attention to floorboards ... scraping in hard corners but then again I don't think the bike was meant for that kind of riding. If you want to enjoy the scenery this is the bike for you. Bike has about 10k on it and not once have I had to turn a wrench on it other than oil changes. AWESOME

Awesome
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 04, 2009I had a 1999 Sportster for a few years before my wife bought me a 2008 Heritage for our anniversary. The ride is awesome and I've done a few mods like the exhaust and computer. Best ever!

Dream come true
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 01, 2009I bought my 2008 Heritage Classic just last August. I've dreamt of getting a Harley for 37 years and finally took the plunge. I'm glad I did. There is no comparison between it and the old Hondas I was used to riding. It's like the difference between a Corvette and Civic.
The only complaint ... I have is with the passenger footpegs. As every Heritage rider knows they are too close to the pipes. For the amount of money we spend on these bikes Harley really should put footboards on them as standard equipment.

Awsome Ride
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 31, 2008My 2008 Heritage will be a year old November 1st with 14,000 miles and I love it. The ride is great, plenty of power and great fuel economy, 50+ mpg. I use it to go to the grocery store as well as going on long trips. The only mods I made is true duals exhaust SE stage 1 intake and SERT to make ... it all work properly. The only bad thing is that I had to replace the battery in my truck because of non-use.
