  • Cool Bike For Cruising
By  (I am an Owner) on Nov 06, 2011

This is probably the best cruiser on the road. I haven't noticed the heat problem other claim. Maybe it's because I just a "cool" cruiser! I like the handling, ride, and comfort. Forward controls helped at 6'2" and 300 lbs. Power is there to keep me out of traffic and negotiate hills. Purchased ...

  • Stop complaining
By  (I am an Owner) on Jun 10, 2011

I do not know why all of you are crying about things you don't like about this bike. Research before you buy. I do not know why you would buy a Harley and keep it stock either. Most who buy a Harley do not keep it stock that is the point. Customize it to your likes. If you want a cookie cutter bike ...

I have this bike and it is now a total custom, and looks nothing like the stock version. It has been lowered, custom exhaust, custom front forks with a 16 inch tire instead of the ugly skinny front tire. Custom linkage and forward controls, custom paint, custom drag bars made using 2 Craftsman 3/4 wrenches welded to a length of 3/4 hex bar then into 3/4 round bar all finished in chrome. Custom horn cover, custom luggage rack. It is now unique and mine, not a cookie cut harley.

By  (I am an Owner) on Mar 14, 2010

I had owned two sportsters prior to my purchase of the 2008 Softail Custom. I purchased teh bike in Okinawa Japan while stationed there in the Marine Corps. I have know put two-thousand miles on my bike and wish that I would have never owned a sportster. The ecceleration was the foremost for me. ...

  • Bike you do not want to RIDE!!!
By  (I am an Owner) on Jul 26, 2009

I always loved the Softail and I have had Harleys before and have a Sportster as well. So, I just recently bought a 2008 Softail. I put $3000.00 in modifications to my taste and got struck with a HOT, HOT, HOT, bike that I want to ride home and park. Looks GREAT and rides GREAT but I want to jump ...

  • Harley Davidson Sold Out To Kalifornia
By  (I am an Owner) on Sep 19, 2008

Love the bike, I only wish I had more information about the fuel injection before I bought it. To bad it takes two grand to get it to sound like a Harley. I am not into loud pipes but I don't want it to sound like a goldwing either. Harley knows about the high heat problem yet still has not done ...

  • Best Bike I Ever Owned...
By  (I am an Owner) on Sep 14, 2008

I bought a Pacific Blue/Black 08 fxstc and it's awesome. Ran great right out of the box! Its fit, finish and function are way better than the Sportie I had in college. I have since install Rush 2" slip ons, a K&N cleaner and a Fuel Pak. Again all worked great right from the start! Runs like ...

  • 2007 FXSTC and 2009 FXSTSSE2
By  (I am an Owner) on Sep 07, 2008

Both bikes were very costly to purchase. At the price I expected the bikes to be ready to "cruise"-- NOT SO --Both bikes ran exceptionally HOT which limited their use to highway riding, that is,unless I wanted to FRY my lower extremities !!

H.D. knows about this problem and has no ...

machines designed only to get my,and your money).

If you want to make a fashion statement--go ahead and buy a H.D.,however if you want to enjoy riding --do your homework and find another brand of cycle.
