		The history of Harley Davidson spans over hundreds of years.  Yet there is one defining design element that has stood the test of time …The Springer front end. This simple yet highly effective suspension system, not only pulls gazing eyes from any parking lot you pull in to, it also functions as goo<span class="simple_review_box" >...</span><span class="expand_review_box" style="display:none;">d as it looks. <br />
The Springer suspension reacts well in the corners and is very responsive to road hazards. I’ve logged nearly 9000 miles since I bought her (new) in 2005. I’ve taken her over some sizable potholes. One pothole in particular was hidden on the far side of a railroad track. The combination of rocker’s and shock absorbers well handled the harsh impact. 	<br />
Some riders have said “they loved the looks but decide against buying a Springer for fear of higher maintenance cost”. True, your MOM (motorcycles owner’s manual) states having it check &amp; serviced every 2500 miles. If the head bearing is greased and the rocker bearings are in good shape, don’t let the rumors keep you from owning a true piece of Harley Davidson history.<br />
