Erik Buell Racing stands alone as the sole American sportbike manufacturer. EBR motorcycles are designed and manufactured in East Troy, Wisconsin. This includes its engine, which many mistakingly think are Rotax units. This is a misconception. EBR purchased the rights to the 1125R engine from Rotax, developing it further into the 1190cc “ET-V2,” which stands for, “East Troy V-Twin.” Though EBR is a young company, its motorcycles are already competing in the World Superbike Championship, as well as other domestic championships around the globe.
