I love my Ducati 1199S

First Ducati I've ever owned...first liter bike I've ever owned...2.5 x more expensive than the last bike I've owned. I LOVE IT! Aside from a tail tidy, my Pani S is bone stock. I've had 3 recalls and have to say Ducati is very proactive about making sure customer satisfaction is number one (very impressed considering its an Italian brand).

Amazing combination of low end torque and crazy top end power. The bike is "extremely light and flickable" so to some that have ridden bigger heavier bikes it may be a bit nervous.

I had NO problem going from a lightly modified CBR 600RR to this bike. The traction control is sooo subtle that if the yellow light wasn't going off on the dash you wouldn't know it was on.

The quick shifter could not be any better even at partial throttle appications. The rear Pirelli is holding up much better than I expected.

One thing everyone has mentioned is heat generated...YES it gets hot. No, there's little to nothing you can do about it other than trying to avoid long durations in traffic on hot days (I welcome them when its cold out).

Riding position for someone 6'2" and 190-200lbs is better than my CBR 600RR (not saying much).

One of the best looking, best sounding, most advanced bikes out there. I do not regret my purchase and plan on keeping this bike in my collection forever. Next year this bike will have some extensive track time & miles.
