		My history:I have had 2 prior sport bikes 00 R1, 02 RC-51 and presently 2 H-D's along side this 05 999.<br /><br />
  Engine: Noisy (it's supposed to be!) The  Revs come up fast and linear.  The power is adequate for a twin cylinder but pales in comparison to any 4 cyl. Japanese sport bike. It's much easier to<span class="simple_review_box" >...</span><span class="expand_review_box" style="display:none;"> use the power in the turns with this twin, compared to a hyper HP. 4 cyl. <br />
   Frame: Very stiff, unyielding and very precise.  It makes you feel like you aren't using it to it's limit.<br />
  Suspension/ride/comfort: Good quality, could use an upgraded Damper.  Handling is superior to the RC-51, but, feels lighter. To compare: R-1 very jumpy. RC-51 stable, heavy, less lean angle.  I'd put the 999 in the middle, somewhere between &quot;the tail on fire R-1 and the lumbering RC-51.  High speeds on the Duc are, at times frightening due to the mirrors/fairing flapping and the suspension allowing the bike to sail over bumps, at times leaving the pavement for more time than I'd like.<br />
Ride is ok within the sport bike realm.<br />
Comfort: well, within torture limits.<br />
   Reliablity: no issues other than the dry clutch not lasting more than 9K miles.<br />
   Value:  If you are going to buy a Ducati for value.. You're not going to buy a Ducati.  Got it?</span>

		I've ridden almost all 600cc super sports and full on liter bikes, and I must say, the &quot;Italian Stallion&quot; is the most exciting bike I've ridden so far. Yes, it is not the all out fastest in a straight line, but these bikes are meant for cornering. And boy does this beast corner. My history:I have had 2 prior sport bikes 00 R1, 02 RC-51 and presently 2 H-D's along side this 05 999.
