Another good looknig dud.

I had one of the 2008 Spyders. it was a good looking P.O.S.



And i see here, they (BRP) used the same ole tired Rotax V Twin in this one as the last, except this time, the engine is being called out for an additional 250+ lbs of JUST machine, not including the rider, passenger, stuff and more stu...ff. You can only squeeze so much out of the poor little engine.

I am sure it will sell due to the looks, but those will fade quickly once the engines start failing.

In 5 years, and a V4 or better, I bet this will be a killer machine. As of now, Too much for too little. And the resale values on the 08's and 09's are less than 50% and that is in ONE year, not 5 like KBB and Edmunds. Read Full Review

Very Unstable

I test rode a RT-S last weekend. Wow, what a squirrely machine! It was a windy and gusty day and my Gold Wing handled it well. Got on the RT-S and I couldn't relax a second on the handlebars. I was constantly having to correct as it was lurching to either side as I rode. My wife or I didn't lik...e the cornering at all. Going around a corner it felt like it wanted to throw you off. My wife said the passengers seat was very uncomfortable and hard. First gear is fairly tall and I stalled it twice taking off. You really have to rev up the engine and let out slowly to get it going. Nice

I have had my RT-S for about a week and I love it. No complaints (except maybe better gas mileage). Handles well, comfortable, and "feels" safe. Read Full Review

unstable

I rode it on city streets at 35 to 40 miles per hour and found it very unstable. It felt like it was going from side to side. I would not trust it at highway speeds. When I told the saleman, he said I was holding on too tight and I needed to lossen up my grip. Well, I do not feel that I could be... comfortable on it. Read Full Review
