American Ducati Monster - Buell XB12R
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 16, 2012While I enjoy my other Sportbikes for their unique characteristics - 2008 Suzuki GSXR1000 and 2007 Yamaha FZ1, both are "tweaked" - my favorite bike is my 2008 Artic White w/Hero Blue XB12R...also "tweaked". No, it's not nearly as fast as the Gixxer or Fizzie, but it is a very comfortable ride and ... very light and flickable due to its low mass centralization. Looks great and sounds funky with the Jordan muffler. I had a 2004, a friend rode it and bought it so I could buy the 2008. I just wish I could find a Buell Racing Kit for it like my '04 had.

Amazing!
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 07, 2009Bought Buell Firebolt XB12r with 238 miles now less than a month odometer reads 1,863mi. This bike is unique to my area all seem to crave "Jap Bikes", only if they'd sit on the XB12R. Power is undeniable and handling is hard to communicate thru typing - just needs to be sat on and ridden thru any ... corner that suits rider. The sound sets itself apart from any other sportbike and this is one other reason i love my baby. I am 34yrs. old and remember early on in my life i always sought subtle differences from the crowd and my bike of choice is no different. Eventhough, the bike is different i still get to put two wheels in motion that has plenty of substance and is simply AMAZING.

I am in deep s@#$ now!
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 27, 2009I have always loved bikes with tons of power and tire smoking torque and could only find these characteristics on metric bikes from japan. I have loved the Yamaha V-MAX, (I had two) and said that I would not own an american bike until they made a hot rod style big H.P. machine. Then came the Harley ... Davidson V-Rod. It was BAD! I bought one in 2002 when they were first introduced and then when the 2006 Night Rod came out it had to be mine. My wife "liked the Harleys" but loved the cafe' styled bikes. So to get her to ride with me I bought her the Buell Firebolt XB12R and had it delivered. Well after detailing it a bit and installing some cool L.E.D. lights I "had" to take it out for a test ride. That was my second mistake, the first was thinking about it. WOW! This thing shoud be outlawed. This American rocket hauled posterior like nothing I have experienced before. It handled beautifully, stuck to the ground in the corners like dog sh@# on your shoes and was a blast, to ride and looked as mean as a pit bull with PMS. The only bad thing that I can say about the mini monster with the V-twin on steroids is that when my better half and I finally do get to ride when it warms up, I will only get to look at the Buell from the tail light view. It will make my Night Rod look like it has the flu. By the way... I haven't told her about the bike yet, I am scared to!!!

Not everyones cup of tea...
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 19, 2009I put on 9000km on the 2008 Buell Firebolt this summer throughout the winding B.C. interior this summer. It took me a while to adjust to the V-twin of this very capable carving machine but now I love it. I have many Japanese "track" bikes that pass me on the straight aways but this bike has given ... so much confidence in the corners and I have rediscovered how much fun riding is again. It has plenty of power for me and it sounds great!

The more miles you put on it the more you LOVE it.
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 06, 2008When I decided to buy a new bike i wanted a ride that not everyone had. Everyone has Yamahas, Hondas, ect. I have also had these motorcycle sport bikes. Harleys are not my style. While searching around I found the Buell Firebolt XB12R. I thought about it for 2 months then bought it. It's the best ... bike I have ever owned. I ride everyday and this bike is nothing but fun. Taking turns without shifting is awsome and the sound...well its like a V8 on asport bike. You have to ride it to understand. After you have put about 3000 miles on it everything purrs like a kitten. So take a look at the Firebolt, If you want something diffrent than the other guy thats really fun to owen buy it. A day doesnt go by that I'm not asked about it!!! I have had zero problems with it.
