Great all around bike
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 15, 2008I was looking to get a sport touring bike. I found out about the Ulysses through a google search as Buell wasn't really on my radar screen. The Adventure Sport Touring segment sounded just right for me and this bike was my choice. I have not been disappointed. The bike meets my needs perfectly. It ... handles well, has been perfectly reliable and has enough power for my needs. Commuting to work, going for up tempo rides, riding 4 hours down the interstate and then taking paved twisty roads in the Black Hills followed by miles of forest service roads, this bike has not disappointed. My only complaint- I'm a bit short (5'8") so even with the lower seat it is a bit tall. Even if I buy another bike I will keep this one. It is a fun ride.

Hot bike!
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 15, 2008if you can think outside the box this is a great bike. The most fun bike I have owned in 30 years of bikes. It handles, it stops, it will go down the highway. Yes the fan is loud, so wear ear plugs. And it puts out some heat, but there are ways to deal with it. Just ride it and have fun!

The best motorcycle I have ever owned
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 29, 2008I have owned a Honda 750 when it was the biggest bike made at the time and then I graduated to BMW's. I had the R75, R90, K100, RS 100 and now a Buell Ulysses.
I took a chance on the manufacturer and the bike and I have been well rewarded.
This bike provides a very stable ... platform, gobs of torque in the real rev band that we all use on a daily basis, never breaks down (old reliable is what my wife calls it), most of the weight low in the bike,(gas, oil, and exhaust) so it feels lighter than it is (425 dry). I have traveled a thousand miles in the last four days at speeds consistently at 80 to 90 mph, two up (and we are not lightweights) and full bags and still got 44 mpg. This bike is unbreakable and the maintenance on the machine is measured in 5,000 mile increments and the cost is quite reasonable. I have been motorcycleing all my almost adult life (from age 17 on-I'68 now) and this is the best motorcycle I have ever owned-bar none!
