The nimble, flickable BMW
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 15, 2008I upgraded to a BMW F800ST from an F650ST. The bike handles as thought it weighs as little as the F650, offers great wind protection, and corners like it's on rails. Power delivery is consistent in all gears, but if you roll the throttle wide open the bike really opens up with a satisfying baritone ... growl. The motor has great low-end torque for real-world riding in commute traffic. The riding position and wheelbase equal sure-footed handling characteristics in the rain. In spite of the 3/4 fairing and full console, nothing is noticed navigating twisty roads other than motor response and the wheels' contact patches. The motorcycle may seem pricey, but it comes stock from the factory with a steering damper, stainless steel-braided lines, and heated grips.
